The Harrisons: Five NFL players who flopped in Week 5

The Harrisons, Week 5.

In honor of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison's bold stance, our weekly award for players and coaches in the NFL who didn't even deserve a participation trophy for Week 5:

T.J. Clemmings, Vikings

It is hard to find any fault with Minnesota’s start, but we did. Playing in place of injured Matt Kalil on the offensive line, Clemmings had this kind of day: pretty much whiffed twice vs. Whitney Mercilus of the Texans for third-down sacks, also had issues in run game and, for good measure, took a facemask personal foul on another third down.

Drew Kaser, Chargers

You had one job! With San Diego set to tie the game with a chip shot field goal with just over two minutes to go, a perfect snap went right through Kaser’s hands and the Chargers suffered another heart-breaking loss. (And we thought his 16-yard punt earlier in the game was the thing we would remember.)

Tom Brady's revenge tour underway as Patriots spank winless Browns

C.J. Mosley, Ravens

From hero to goat in one silly moment.  Returning an interception by Kirk Cousins, Mosley reached the ball toward the goal line only to lose control and have the ball bounce out of the end zone. Touchback. The Redskins then drove for a field goal and ended up winning by six points.

Ryan Mathews, Eagles

On a key third down late in the game and Philadelphia up by two points, Mathews got the call. And did the unthinkable. He committed the team’s first turnover of the season at his own 45-yard line. Seven players later, the Lions kicked the decisive field goal.

Brock Osweiler, Texans

Houston’s quarterback has struggled this season but has been particularly ineffective on the road. Consider his first-half stats Sunday when the Vikings put the game out of reach: 7 of 20 for 54 yards. DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, his top two receivers, had zero catches before halftime.
