Thabo Sefolosha has agreed to two-year deal with Utah Jazz

Thabo Sefolosha, an 11-year NBA veteran, has agreed to a two-year contract with the Utah Jazz, USA TODAY Sports' Jeff Zillgitt confirmed.

The deal is worth $10.5 million, which amounts to the largest annual salary of Sefolosha's career.  

He has spent the past three seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, averaging 6.4 points and 4.4 rebounds. Playing both the shooting guard and small forward position, he has shot 45% from the floor for his career.

Known mostly for his wing defense, Sefolosha saw his playing time decrease once the Hawks made the playoffs last season. 

Sefolosha suffered a fractured fibula and ligament damage in his right leg, in an incident involving New York police, that caused him to miss the final few games of the 2014-15 season, including the playoffs.

He was originally charged with resisting arrest while trying to help Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland, who was stabbed outside a New York City nightclub. Sefolosha filed a civil suit against the New York police for excessive force, malicious prosecution, false arrest and false imprisonment. The suit was settled in April for $4 million.
