Corning-Painted Post High School is rallying to support Will Condon, a former athlete at Corning West High School who suffered a significant spinal cord injury in June while diving into a swimming pool.

Led by Corning head football coach George Bacalles, the rest of the football program and the student body at large, “Will’s Warriors” has been created to help defray medical, transportation and other costs for Condon and his family.

The school is asking fans to support “Will’s Warriors” during Corning’s varsity football game against Chenango Valley on Sept. 23 at Corning Memorial Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.

Condon played football and baseball for Corning West. He graduated from West High in 2005.
