Following up its impressive run to the championship at the Sweet 16 Tournament, the Nicolet boys tennis team rolled to the team title at the Manitowoc Lincoln Invitational.

The Knights did not drop a set along the way, grabbing 7-0 wins over Franklin and Ashwaubenon before winning by default over Whitefish Bay in the championship.

Jaden Aranda, Sunil Sabnis, Julian Lowe and Ben Chester each went 2-0 for the day at the top four singles flights. The doubles flights followed suit, with Eli Winter and Jack Steinberger, Ari Robinson and Ridley Aranda and Harry Rosmann and Eytan Robinson all winning twice in straight sets. 

The Knights finished the North Shore Conference dual meet season at a perfect 7-0 with a 7-0 win over Port Washington on May 11.

Aranda, Sabnis, Lowe and Ben Chester swept the singles flights, with Winter and Steinberger, Scott Arenzon and Ari Robinson and Rosmann and Eytan Robinson collecting doubles victories. 

Ranked No. 2 in the state, Nicolet was scheduled to play in the North Shore Conference tournament Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18.      

The Knights will open the postseason by hosting the WIAA Division 1 Nicolet Subsectional on Monday, May 22.
