Endorses trustee candidates

To the editor,
We have lived in Shorewood for 40 years. We support the re-election of village board Trustees Mike Maher and Ann McKaig.
They have also been residents of our community for many years. Their records of outstanding service to Shorewood make them excellent candidates. Maher and McKaig bring a good, historical perspective to discussions on issues facing our community. Both have served on a variety of village board committees. Maher and McKaig give thoughtful and balanced reasoning to the resolution of complex matters. Their decisions have served to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods -- all the while keeping within budget.
At village board and committee meetings, we have observed their willingness to question, discuss and decide matters with the well-being of all in mind. Trustees Maher and McKaig are always well prepared. With a new village manager coming on board soon, their experience and willingness to serve are more important than ever to ensure continued, high-quality public administration in Shorewood.
We urge our neighbors and fellow citizens of Shorewood to vote for Trustees Maher and McKaig for renewed, balanced leadership.

Rallies behind incumbents

To the editor,

We would like to strongly endorse the re-election of Shorewood incumbent trustees, Ann McKaig and Michael Maher.  During their service, they have exemplified what citizens desire in their elected representatives. They both study the issues, listen to constituents and village staff, ask questions and weigh the merits of any decisions they make. They are bright, sensible, very approachable and have the best interests of Shorewood as their goal in decision making.

We’d like to ask other citizens of Shorewood to join us in voting for these two excellent trustees, Ann McKaig and Michael Maher, on Tuesday, April 4, to keep our village board strong and vibrant.
