Donald Trump tweets 'love' for Detroit, Michigan before visit
President to speak today at the American Center for Mobility at Willow Run
Just after he went on a small "tweetstorm" about the reporter who obtained his tax information from 2005, President Donald Trump turned his attention toward Michigan, where he's expected to appear today to give a speech about auto industry jobs and deregulation.
And apparently, he "loves" Detroit.
"Will be going to Detroit, Michigan (love), today for a big meeting on bringing back car production to State & U.S. Already happening!" Trump tweeted.
Trump will speak today at the American Center for Mobility at Willow Run to talk about jobs — specifically automotive jobs — and is expected to announce that his administration plans to review new, tougher fuel-economy standards, a move likely to be cheered by U.S. automakers.
The visit comes a day after it was revealed that Trump paid $38 million in taxes in 2005, based on two pages of Trump's Form 1040 obtained from financial journalist and Trump biographer David Cay Johnston, a former Free Press reporter.
