Glendale - As construction continues on the Richard E. Maslowski Community Park, Glendale city officials are seeking veterans to honor in the park's veterans memorial.

All military veterans of the city of Glendale are invited to submit their names for the veterans memorial. Names must be submitted by Jan. 31 so that the memorial panels can be engraved by the park's opening. A dedication ceremony will be held in spring.

Eligible veterans include past and present members of the U.S. armed services, Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard, who served in wartime or peacetime, have lived in Glendale since the foundation of Glendale (Dec. 28, 1950) and who hold an honorable discharge. The per name cost will be $95.

To submit a name, visit the Glendale website at www.glendale-wi.org and click on "veterans memorial name submission invitation." Print and fill out the information form and return it to Glendale City Hall with payment. For more information, contact Anna at the Glendale City Hall 414-228-1705.
