A car was taken from a driveway in the 8700 block of North 68th Street between 7 and 9:45 a.m. June 1 and recovered later that day in the 8900 block of North 70th Street. At that time, a witness saw a male get out of the car and into a black SUV.
A car was taken with keys from the 9200 block of North Carlotta Lane overnight May 31 or June 1. The owner said those keys along with his address had been stolen from another car parked in Milwaukee on May 31.
The tires on a car were slashed, causing $400 damage in the 8300 block of North 48th Street between 3 and 7 p.m. June 1.
A man was seen taking an Apple TV valued at $149 and walking out of Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, at 8:15 p.m. June 1 and the following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting there: Two 17-year-old girls grabbed numerous DVDs valued at $280 and fled the store setting off the alarm about noon June 2. One girl, a missing runaway, was turned over to a caseworker. A 34-year-old woman, who was also cited for resisting arrest, a warrant and a felon carrying a concealed weapon, a knife, took swimsuits valued at $184 at 4:15 p.m. June 3.
Various items, including keys and a cell phone, were taken in an armed robbery after two males, one with a gun, confronted a man in the 4100 block of Rivers Edge Circle at 11:28 p.m. June 2.
A 24-year-old Brown Deer woman and a 66-year-old Milwaukee man were cited for disorderly conduct after a report of them 'fighting' in the 4300 block of West Bradley Road on June 2. The fight was over a child safety seat that the woman said the man would not return to her.
A 32-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for strangulation and battery, both domestic violence related, after a juvenile called police saying the man was choking a woman at 12:17 a.m. June 3.
The rear window of a conversion man was smashed causing $150 damage in the 4500 block of West Spring Lane on June 2 or 3.
A parent reported that her son received two counterfeit $50 bills from another boy after selling him a pair of basketball shoes near the basketball courts at Brown Deer Elementary, 5757 W. Dean Road, on May 29 and reported June 3.
A 35-year-old Brown Deer woman and a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy were cited for disorderly conduct after a witness reported them having an argument in the 4500 block of West Spring Lane at 12:15 p.m. June 4.
Charges have been sent to the DA's office for a 32-year-old Brown Deer man on allegations of strangulation/domestic violence related at 4:40 p.m. June 4. The man pushed and choked a woman and fled the scene.
Tools valued at $5,000 were taken from a work van in the 4400 block of West Schroeder Drive sometime June 4 and reported June 5.
Two 15-year-old Brown Deer girls were cited for disorderly conduct after a report of them 'arguing' and one pushing an employee at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 11:51 a.m. June 6.
A 56-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for warrants and shoplifting more than $180 of meat at Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, at noon June 6.
Two Milwaukee women, 28 and 47, were cited for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after fighting in the 7100 block of North 51st Street at 2:15 p.m. June 6. No injuries were visible.
A resident reported his name and social security number had been fraudulently used in an attempt to open a Kohl's credit card account June 8. Kohl's notified the resident that he already had an account and he could not open another.
A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for criminal damage to property, trespassing and obstruction after a witness saw him and two other males walking toward the railroad tracks carrying backpacks in the 200 block of East Clovernook Lane about 1 p.m. June 4. An officer arrived and approached the males, who then fled leaving behind two bottles of empty spray paint, graffiti on the railroad bridge causing $500 damage and their car. The owner was traced, telling police his son had the car. The suspect came to the station June 8 and was cited.
Various items valued at more than $1,200, including Bluetooth speakers and head sets were taken from Verizon Wireless, 5790 N. Port Washington Road, about 1:30 a.m. May 26. Police responded to an alarm and found the glass on the front door smashed to gain entry.
Six cars were entered, some unlocked, in the following blocks — 2100 West Greenwood Road, 2300 West Woodbury Lane and 6500 and 6700 North Sidney Place — overnight June 1 or 2. The cars were ransacked and some items taken including a $45 briefcase, a diaper bag, a $200 iPad and $100 gym bag. One resident reported more than $300 damage to a lock and another saw a male attempt to enter his car and then drive off in a white Ford SUV without plates.
A Glendale couple were the victims of a scam after a call saying their grandson was in an accident and now in jail and they needed to send $1,076 via Western Union to someone in the Dominican Republic on June 2. They sent the money and then got another call saying they needed to send $3,000 more. They returned to Western Union, where an employee alerted them to the scam. They then called their grandson and he was fine.
A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting three pairs of Michael Kors shoes valued at $404 at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 3:20 p.m. June 2.
A wallet and contents, including $200 cash and sunglasses valued at $100, were taken from an unlocked car behind the 5600 block of North Bethmaur Lane between 10 and 10:30 a.m. June 3.
Items valued at more than $16,000, including an $8,000 bottle of liquor, a sewing machine and crystal vases, were reported missing/taken from a home in the 5900 block of North Sidney Place on June 3. Workers were in the home when the items might have been taken. The case is under investigation.
Tools valued at $500, including power drills and wrenches, were taken from a vehicle in the 2400 block of West Mill Road, about 11:35 a.m. June 4. A man between 30 and 40 was seen getting out of a white Mercury and entering the car.
Rescue was called for a 37-year-old Manitowoc woman found unconscious in a restroom at BP Gas, 525 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 5 p.m. June 4. The woman, who was revived with Narcan, was with others who said they came to Milwaukee to buy drugs on Capitol Drive.
A Michael Kors purse and contents valued at over $600 was taken from a woman outside Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 12:07 p.m. June 5. She reported that a male, about 20, in a Dodge Stratus without hubcaps, exited a car with other males, and grabbed the purse knocking her over, and drove off. She said she was not injured.
A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for driving a stolen car, fleeing police and resisting arrest in the 1800 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 12:33 a.m. June 6. Police were alerted to the car since it was stolen a few hours before from Milwaukee. They attempted to stop the car but terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. The boy continued to circle the area and was seen again and stopped in the 6000 block of West Birch Avenue. He and other occupants ran off but were caught.
A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana, obstruction for giving a false name and birth date, a warrant and shoplifting after taking a $3.25 candy bar at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 4:16 p.m. June 6. The woman, who was seen eating the candy as she 'shopped,' had 1.7 grams of marijuana hidden in her bra and carried $875 cash. She became 'upset' when taken into custody, saying she just wanted a ticket.
A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody on four warrants after he dialed 911 by mistake and police responded to Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 10 a.m. June 5.
A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after crashing his car in the 1000 block of West Hampton Avenue at 8:43 p.m. June 6. His BAC was 0.18.
A wallet, $20 phone charger and about $30 in coins were taken from an unlocked car in the 7100 block of North Rockledge Avenue June 6 or 7.
A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting, obstruction, resisting arrest, removing anti-theft devises and a warrant after hiding three Milwaukee Brewers jerseys valued at $420 under his shirt at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 6:15 p.m. June 7.
A 27-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was cited for OWI and warned for unsafe lane deviation in the 3000 block of West Brown Deer Road at 12:24 a.m. June 4. The woman, who was stopped because of weaving in traffic, failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.20.
A resident reported being the victim of fraud after selling his 2001 Acura on Craigslist to 'Shane Johnson' for $3,500 in the 1900 block of East Shorewood Boulevard on May 28. 'Shane' paid with a cashier's check which turned out to be worthless. The car was listed as stolen.
An unlocked BMX bicycle valued at $100 was taken from Atwater School, 2100 E. Capitol Drive, between 4 and 5 p.m. June 2.
An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and warned for trespassing along with five of his friends after they were found sitting on the break wall at Atwater Beach, 3900 N. Lake Drive, at 6:48 p.m. June 2. The man had two pipes with marijuana residue.
An unknown person was caught on surveillance video using a rock to smash a windshield in a parking structure in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 4:41 a.m. June 3.
A 19-year-old Wauwatosa man was cited for possession of marijuana, underage drinking and warned for violation of park hours at Estabrook Park, 4200 N. Estrabrook Parkway, at 1:16 a.m. May 4. Marijuana was found in his car.
A $200 cell phone was reported as lost or stolen after it was left on a counter at a business in the 4200 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:37 p.m. June 4.
A car was reported taken from the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:40 a.m. June 5. Items taken from that car were found dumped in the area and also found in the area was a 1999 Plymouth van stolen out of Milwaukee. The stolen car was recovered in the 3000 block of North Buffum Street, Milwaukee, at 2:38 a.m. June 8
A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and speeding 45 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 3600 block of North Oakland Avenue at 4:44 a.m. June 5. His BAC was 0.19.
Copper downspouts were taken from two houses in the 3500 block of North Lake Drive, one reported between 12:30 and 9:30 a.m. June 6 and one overnight June 7 or 8.
Two Milwaukee men, 44 and 46, were cited in separate incidents for shoplifting liquor at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., at 2 p.m. June 7. The first man, who was also cited for trespassing since he'd been banned from the store, hid the bottles in his pants and attempted to flee. The other man was out on bail for retail theft.
A resident reported someone used his ID to get a credit card and then charged purchases of $2,700 June 7.
A car was taken from the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue before 11 p.m. June 7.
A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for two counts of shoplifting after first taking lobster tails valued at $33 from Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., and then going into Sendik's, 4027 N. Oakland Ave., and taking two steaks valued at $21 between 5 and 5:30 p.m. June 7. The man then got on a bus, which was stopped, and he was cited.
A 1999 Dodge Intrepid parked on the street was taken from the 4400 block of North Sheffield Avenue overnight June 7 or 8.
Four copper downspouts, about 23 feet and valued at $800, were taken from the 1100 block of East Lexington Boulevard overnight June 5 or 6.
Damage of $800 was reported on playground equipment called a 'funnel ball basket' and additional damage to the tennis fence at Cumberland School, 4780 N. Marlborough Drive, that occurred sometime 2:30 to 7 p.m. June 6.
A resident reported that a grey Chrysler Sebring convertible pulled into his driveway and a male got out and entered his unlocked van in the 6000 block of North Shoreland Avenue at 10:26 p.m. June 7. A short time later, the male got back in the car, which drove away.
The attempted theft of a Dodge Caravan was reported in the 4700 block of North Sheffield Avenue between 8:30 and 11 p.m. June 6. The ignition was punched, causing $100 damage and about $2 taken.
A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI-drugs after failing to stop at East Cumberland Boulevard and North Lake Drive at 3:36 a.m. June 8. She was taken for a blood test.
A 40-year-old West Allis man was cited for theft of copper downspouts valued at $200 in the 4700 block of North Wilshire Road at 10:25 a.m. June 9. An officer saw the man drive up in a work truck and then put the downspouts into the back of that truck.
Two Milwaukee males, 16 and 19, were cited June 12 for receiving/possession of stolen property after taking a mountain bike valued at $300 from the 100 block of East Chateau Place about 3:45 p.m. June 9. The males were located and cited after the resident notified police they had posted his bike for sale on Craigslist. It was recovered in the 5700 block of North Port Washington Road.
A 19-year-old Mequon woman was cited for OWI and a 19-year-old Shorewood woman, a passenger, for underage drinking, after the driver failed to stop at a sign in the 6000 block of North Lake Drive at 1:42 a.m. June 10. Her BAC was 0.09.
A 31-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for her second OWI, failure to have insurance, driving with a revoked license, suspended registration and open intoxicants in the 6300 block of North Lake Drive at 10:35 p.m. June 11. Her BAC was 0.29.
