Local residents will be among 88 veterans going on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight's 34th mission on Saturday, June 11.

On board the American Airlines chartered aircraft will be 16 veterans who served in WWII, 70 veterans who served in the Korean War, and two Vietnam War veterans.

Among those going on the flight are:

·Edward Bryant of Glendale, WWII Navy Seabees in South Pacific

·Dana Cableof Shorewood, WWII Air Force (Army Air Corps) who flew 31 missions in a B-17 over Europe

·John Maul of Bayside, Vietnam Army colonel

The chartered plane will leave from General Mitchell Airport at 5:30 a.m., en route to Washington, D.C., where the veterans and their accompanying guardians will visit the World War II Memorial, Iow Jima/Marine Corps Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Air Force Memorial and Lincoln, Korean and Vietnam memorials. The plane will return to Milwaukee at about 8:30 p.m.
