Glendale — The Burger King that recently closed at 5260 N. Port Washington Road will be replaced by a new Arby's restaurant.

The new 2,560-square-foot Arby's building will be constructed in the same footprint as the existing Burger King, and it will include drive-thru window service. The parking lot and driv-thru lanes will be repaved, and improvements will be made to the lighting and landscaping. Thirty-six parking spaces will be available to customers.

A grand opening is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 1, according to paperwork submitted to the Glendale Plan Commission.
