Bay resident to head children's choir

Whitefish Bay resident Darcie K.G. Warren has been named as the new executive director of the Milwaukee Children’s Choir.

Warren joins the organization after a ten-year career in health and education, most recently serving as the first program manager at UW-Milwaukee’s Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health where she directed student services, recruitment and academic affairs. Prior to her time at UW-Milwaukee, Warren worked as a Public Health Educator in the Wisconsin Division of Public Health Southeast Region-Milwaukee Office and also coordinated local and statewide coalitions to pass smoke-free workplace policies in Wisconsin.

Warren grew up performing in choirs, bands and theater in the Kenosha Unified School District, providing her with the opportunity to perform in New York City, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Hawaii, Edinburgh, Scotland’s Fringe Festival, and the Walt Disney World parade.
