JCC hosts Hanukkah celebration

The Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will present a free, community-wide Hanukkah celebration from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay.

Children of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in Hanukkah-themed activities and games including building a giant Lego menorah, magic shows, beeswax candle-making, edible menorah-making and Tzedakah (charitable) projects.  Refreshments will be available for purchase. Kiwanis Club hosts breakfast with Santa

The Kiwanis Club of North Shore Milwaukee will hold its annual Breakfast with Santa event from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. Monica Parish, 5900 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay.

Santa will be at the event to greet attendees and pose for pictures with children of all ages. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. There will also be a silent auction, raffles and face painting.

Tickets are available at the door, at Winkie’s or from a Kiwanis member. Tickets are $7 per adult (ages 10 and up) and $5 per child over the age of 2. Proceeds benefit Kiwanis charities. The event will be held in the parish hall, which can be accessed by entering Door #1 from the parking lot off of Lake View Avenue.

Audubon Babies: Exploring Nature with the Very Young: 10 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15

Children are never too young to enjoy the wonders of nature. Participants start inside and venture out when everyone is ready. Dress for the weather; the group explores rain or shine. Waterproof shoes or boots are recommended. If the weather is not appropriate to go outside, the program will be indoors. Registration is required.
