BROWN DEER

A traffic cone was thrown at a window, breaking it and causing over $5,000 damage at Brown Deer Elementary School, 5757 W. Dean Road June 29 or 30.

Windows on two cars were shattered but nothing taken in the 6700 block of West Brown Deer Road June 27 or 28. On those same dates a wallet was taken from the trunk of a car in the 6600 block of West Donges Lane.

A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second OWI in the 5600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:18 p.m. June 29. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.107.

A cellphone valued at $150 was taken after being left for a few moments about 6 p.m. at Rock & Jump Trampoline Park, 9009 N. Deerbrook Trail, June 30.

A home was entered through an unlocked patio door and car keys were taken and then the car, a rental, was taken in the 9500 block of Hillside Court June 30 or July 1. When this incident was reported, the car had already been recovered in Milwaukee about 2:15 a.m. July 1.

The following shoplifting incidents were reported at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A man and woman were seen on video taking 17 car batteries valued at $425 from the recycling bin June 28; A 33-year-old Milwaukee man, also cited for possession of a drug pipe, picked up items and then attempted to return them for about $50 June 30.

A 30-year-old Brown Deer woman was cited for OWI in the 5700 block of West Wahner Avenue at 2:34 a.m. July 2. Her blood alcohol content was 0.15.

Windows on three cars parked in a driveway were broken in the 9100 block of North Alpine Lane July 2 or 3.

A home was entered by cutting a window screen in the living room and a purse and car keys taken along with the car in the 9300 block of North Pearlette Lane July 2 or 3. The purse was later found behind a shed.

A $1,000 laptop computer was taken from an unlocked car in the 9500 block of North Carlotta Lane July 2 or 3.

Two residents reported unlocked cars parked in driveways were entered in the 4600 block of West Fountain Avenue July 3 or 4. A bag with a stethoscope and a hospital ID valued at over $150 was taken from one car and about $20 taken from two others.

BAYSIDE

A male was cited for OWI after an officer saw him make an illegal U-turn in the 600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:33 a.m. July 4. When asked, the male said he had “about one or two beers an hour ago.” He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.08.

FOX POINT

A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon at Doctor’s Park, 1870 E. Fox Lane, at 11:35 a.m. July 9. Police were on routine patrol when they reported marijuana odor coming from the car and found the boy and a girl slumped over, hiding from police. The boy admitted smoking some “pot recently in the car.” He had a number of baggies holding 394.3 grams of marijuana along with a grinder and burnt cigar wrappers with residue and over $100. The boy also had a loaded Taurus .380 handgun in his pocket and more ammunition was found in the trunk of the car. That gun had been reported lost by a resident in West Allis a number of months before.

GLENDALE

A 42-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman of Milwaukee were cited for shoplifting and warrants and the woman also for possession of a crack pipe after taking body wash and candy bars valued at $64 at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 10:45 p.m. June 23.

Two sisters, a 29-year-old Shorewood woman and a 24-year-old Milwaukee woman, were cited for disorderly conduct after they began punching each other and the Milwaukee woman also for criminal damage to property after she took a store computer and threw it on the floor at Foot Locker, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:43 p.m. June 27.

The following shoplifting incidents were reported at The Apple Store, 5715 N. Centerpark Way: Two males were caught on video taking two Beats headphones and a wireless speaker valued at $987 and fleeing at 10:44 a.m. June 29; Two juveniles took a $230 speaker about 1 p.m. June 30.

A 32-year-old Rochester, Wisconsin man was cited for possession of heroin at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 12:15 p.m. June 29. Police responded to a report of a possible “drug deal” and a needle with heroin was found in the man’s room.

The following incidents were reported at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 28-year-old Madison woman was cited for shoplifting a $40 shaver and for habitual criminality June 27; A 21-year-old Milwaukee man, who also had an outstanding warrant, took shoes and shirts valued at $114 June 27; An 18-year-old Shorewood man took an $8 shirt and a 33-year-old Milwaukee man, also cited for trespassing for a previous theft, took shorts and a watch valued at $82 June 30; A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl took earrings and a T-shirt valued at $14 July 1; A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy took $30 worth of underwear July 3.

A 38-year-old Glendale man was cited for domestic violence-related disorderly conduct after his wife called police reporting the man punched a hole in the wall and broke a lamp at 9:55 p.m. June 28.

Five or more cars were entered with one reporting a broken window in the 5600 and 5700 blocks of North Dexter Avenue and North Bethmaur Lane June 29 or 30. One resident reported a $40 bottle of cologne was taken.

A garage was entered and a car broken into with sunglasses and CDs valued at $70 taken in the 5200 block of North Mohawk Avenue July 1 or 2. Some of the items were found in the 4800 block of North Shoreland Avenue, Whitefish Bay, about 12:40 a.m. July 2.

A man reported he was forced by gunpoint into the trunk of a car while visiting a relative’s grave at Evergreen Cemetery, 4530 N. Green Bay Avenue, at 1:30 p.m. July 2. He was driven around and then released in the 1500 block of West Lapham Boulevard.

Three suspects were seen on video taking 40 bags of charcoal valued at $450 at Pick ‘n Save, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, about 4 a.m. July 2.

Two cars were entered and one taken from the 4600 block of North River Park Boulevard; three cars were entered and two taken in the alley behind the 2000 block of West Kendall Avenue July 2 or 3.

A woman reported that someone grabbed her purse while she was in the food court at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7 pm. July 3.

A 22-year-old Glendale woman was cited for possession of marijuana brownies after someone called 911 about an apartment in the 4800 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:38 a.m. July 4. The woman said she got the brownies from a friend at work.

Two unlocked cars were entered and about $50 of tools taken from one in the 4600 block of North Elm Tree Road and a $20 wallet with $20 taken from one in the 800 block of West Eula Court July 3 or 4.

A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for theft of about $70 from her employer, BP, 525 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 7 a.m. July 4. The woman was caught on video taking the money out of her register.

A 2017 Ford pickup truck valued at $47,500 and a 2017 Lincoln Continental, valued at $78,000 were taken with keys from Heiser Ford, 1700 W. Silver Spring Drive, about 4:15 a.m. July 5. The front door glass was broken to gain entry.

RIVER HILLS

A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his third OWI and illegal parking on a highway after he was found in his car stopped in traffic in the 1100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:32 a.m. July 2. He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.15. He was taken for a blood draw.

A 22-year-old Green Bay man was cited for OWI in the 1900 block of Upper River Road at 2:50 a.m. July 4. At first, the man denied drinking but then said he had “a couple of beers.” He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.20.

A 51-year-old Glendale woman was cited for her third OWI, driving with a revoked license and refusal to take a blood test after she was found in her car stopped partly on the road in the 7900 block of North Green Bay Road at 1:36 a.m. July 7. The woman had urinated in the car and after a warrant was issued was taken for a blood draw.

SHOREWOOD

Shoes were taken from a boy’s locker in the pool area at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, before 1:15 p.m. June 28.

A 41-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man, of Milwaukee, were cited for shoplifting after attempting to flee with $500 worth of various items at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., at 7:45 p.m. June 28.

An unlocked car was entered but nothing taken in the 3600 block of North Murray Avenue June 28 or 29.

A $500 Trek fitness bicycle was taken from a bike rack at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, between 10:15 and 11:42 a.m. July 1.

Playground equipment and railings and a sign were damaged in the 2100 block of East Capitol Drive before 2 p.m. July 2.

A 33-year-old woman was cited for disorderly conduct, trespassing and open intoxicants after she was found sitting in her car at Culver’s, 1325 E. Capitol Drive, at 2 a.m. July 4, her birthday. The woman, who smelled of alcohol, admitted drinking.

Residents reported “juveniles” getting out of a car and attempting to open car doors in the 4400 block of North Frederick Avenue and the 6500 block of North Larkin Street between 7 and 11 p.m. July 4.

A resident reported being the victim of a fraud after purchasing Summerfest tickets online for $500 and never receiving the tickets July 5.

Two Milwaukee boys, 12 and 14, were cited for disorderly conduct/battery after fighting at East Capitol Drive and North Murray Avenue at 2:47 p.m. July 5.

WHITEFISH BAY

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second OWI after being stopped for going 52 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 5000 block of North Lake Drive at 2:11 a.m. July 1. His blood alcohol content was 0.19.

A 17-year-old Bayside boy was cited for shoplifting a can of Red Bull from CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 3:50 p.m. July 2. The boy, who had the can in his pocket, was seen running from the store and then running back inside.

Three thefts were reported from the vacuum machine on the southwest side of Amstar Gas Station, 303 E. Hampton Road, June 23, June 26 and July 4. In the first break-in about $200 in quarters were taken, in the second about $3, and in the last about $50. The suspects’ car was described as a light-colored Chevy Equinox.

A resident reported a “suspicious” car parked for over 30 minutes in the 900 block of East Circle Drive at 2:32 a.m. July 3. An Uber driver was found cleaning the car because a passenger had thrown up in the back seat.

A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of what was described as a “hazardous substance with intent to abuse” after he was found on the ground “huffing” a dust-like substance in the 5400 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:11 p.m. July 3.

Two Trek bicycles valued at $400 each were taken from a shared garage in the 100 block of East Chateau Place sometime June 30 to July 4.

A women’s Trek Navigator valued at over $200 was taken from a garage in the 4900 block of North Shoreland Avenue July 2 or 3.

A resident reported an attempted scam after giving “access to his computer to ITeck Experts” July 6. They then transferred $40,000 from his savings account to his checking account and asked him to send a check for that amount. The resident called his bank, his account was frozen and no money was lost. 

A resident reported that two “subjects” walked up to the front door but fled when they saw the resident in the 5400 block of North Berkeley Boulevard at 11:17 p.m. July 7.
