1 A car was entered but nothing taken in the 8300 block of North 49th Street on April 21 or 22.

2 The following people were cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman took clothing and baby formula valued at $292 on April 21: A 31-year-old Milwaukee woman took leggings valued at $24 on April 22; Two women took clothing and food valued at more than $180 on April 23; Two Milwaukee women, 18 and 37, took baby formula and clothing valued at $169 on April 25. The older woman was also cited for obstruction, a warrant and carrying a concealed weapon; A 29-year-old Brown Deer man took alcohol valued at $128 on April 26.

3 A 24-year-old man was stopped for driving a car reported stolen in Milwaukee in the 4800 block of West Brown Deer Road at 9:28 p.m. April 21. The man told police he bought the car April 19 from a stranger at South 35th Street and West National Avenue. The man was released and the car towed.

4 Police were notified that a woman who rented CDs valued at more than $600 had not returned them and was not responding to calls at Brown Deer Library, 5600 W. Bradley Road, on April 24.

5 A resident reported that her TV was “gone” and she thought a male, who stayed the night and she only knew his first name, took it from the 8200 block of North 46th Street on April 23 or April 24. An investigation revealed the TV was sold to an electronics store April 24.

6 Four wheels and tires valued at $800 were taken from a 2006 Buick Lucerne parked at World Mart, 4730 W. Bradley Road, overnight April 24 or 25.

7 A 15-year-old Brown Deer boy was cited for motor vehicle theft and driving a stolen car after he took the car keys from a teacher’s purse at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., about 1:10 p.m. April 25. The boy and the car were found in Milwaukee later that day.

8 A 19-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after he was stopped for speeding on West Bradley and North Cedarburg roads at 5:15 p.m. April 26.


9 A witness reported seeing two men, their arms filled with clothing, running out of Burghardt Sporting Goods, 8625 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:06 p.m. April 21.

10 Two males were seen stuffing soaps, including Irish Spring and Dial, down their pants and fleeing CVS Pharmacy, 8661 N. Port Washington Road, at 1:45 p.m. April 24. They got in a car and drove away.


11 A female, 18 to 25, grabbed an armful of leggings and shorts valued at more than $85 and fled Justice, 485 Glen Bay Ave., at 10:30 a.m. April 20.

12 A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting and two warrants, one for shoplifting, after hiding children’s clothing valued at $400 in her purse and fleeing Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at noon April 20. When stopped, she said she knew what she did was wrong.

13 A man, 20 to 30, took items valued at more than $300, including a car battery and a lithium jump start-up, at Batteries Plus Bulbs, 6150 N. Port Washington Road, about 2:10 p.m. April 20. The man had been in the checkout lane when he got out of the line and walked out of the store.

14 A 46-year-old Jackson woman was cited for shoplifting after picking up two comforters from a display, going to the return window saying she recently purchased one of then and now wanted exchange it for the other at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 2:30 p.m. April 20. An employee saw the woman pick up both comforters from the display.

A resident reported her debit card was used fraudulently charging $135 and three other attempts had been made to use that card in Moline, Illinois, on April 20. She was notified by the card company and the card was cancelled.

15 A woman was seen taking about 15 shirts and yoga pants valued at more than $600 and fleeing Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 6:30 p.m. April 20.

16 Three Milwaukee females, 15, 18 and 22, were cited for shoplifting along with a 19-year-old Brown Deer man who was also cited for criminal damage to property after taking women’s items valued at $170 at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7:45 p.m. April 20.

17 A 47-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after hiding $129 of steaks in his pants and jump suit at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 6 p.m. April 22.

18 A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after he was identified as the driver of a car stolen out of Milwaukee that was parked at LaQuinta, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 9:11 a.m. April 23. The man, who had a small amount of marijuana, said he recently bought the car from “a friend” for $3,000 cash and didn’t know it was stolen.

19 An 18-year-old Bayside man and a 17-year-old Fox Point boy were cited April 25 for trespassing after being caught on camera trespassing at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 1:55 a.m. April 23.

20 Packages were reported taken from the 4300 block of North Ardmore Avenue about 3 p.m. April 17. A male wearing black clothing and a yellow hat was seen in the area.

21 A $100 Weber Grill was taken from a yard in the 4300 block of North Alpine Avenue sometime between 3 p.m. April 19 and 11:30 a.m. April 21.

22 Six bags of mulch and six of topsoil valued at $32 were taken from the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue about 4:45 p.m. April 23.

23 A 17-year-old Shorewood boy was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at 10:26 a.m. April 24. The boy had 12.8 grams of marijuana and a scale.

24 A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting candy bars valued at $12 from two gas stations in the 1500 and 1600 blocks of East Capitol Drive about 5 p.m. April 24. The man was taken into custody on a warrant and found with the stolen candy.

25 A package purchased from Amazon was taken from the 4400 block of North Wildwood Avenue sometime April 17 to 20 and reported April 26. The resident said Amazon had refunded the purchase. In a similar incident, an empty package found in the 4700 block of North Larkin Street was addressed to someone in the 4400 block of North Murray Avenue. That residence also told police Amazon had refunded the purchase.


26 A package delivered by Amazon holding a pair of $116 Saucony running shoes was taken from the 4700 block of North Larkin Street overnight April 21 or 22 and reported April 25.

27 A package of 100 plastic cups with a company logo valued at $125 was taken from the 5000 block of North Cumberland Boulevard between 11:14 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 25 and reported April 26.

A resident reported an attempted scam after advertising his $200 TV for sale on Craigslist and receiving a check for $1,855 and told to wire $1,655 to a moving company April 27. The resident knew it was a scam and no money was lost.

28 A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI-drugs after he failed to stop at a flashing red light in the 200 block of East Hampton Road at 12:05 a.m. April 29. He was taken for a blood draw.

29 A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his third OWI, refusal to take a breath test and resisting/obstruction of a police officer after he was found slumped over the wheel of his running car in the 200 block of East Hampton Road at 12:35 a.m. April 30. The man became combative and fought with an officer. He was restrained and taken for a legal blood draw.
