1A man was cited for OWI-drugs after he was found slumped over in his running car in the 300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 12:50 a.m. March 15. The man, who had glassy eyes and smelled of marijuana, told police he was just resting. They asked him when the last time was he got high and he said, “I’m high right now.” He was taken for a blood draw.


A resident reported being the victim of a scam after answering an ad on Craigslist offering payment to people who put advertisements on their cars Feb. 28. The resident was sent a check for $1,850 and told to keep $430 and return the rest, which he did.

2A Springfield .45-caliber pistol was taken from a locked car in the 8000 block of North Grandview Drive on March 8 or 9.

3A 50-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for his third OWI in the 5200 block of West Willow Road at 1:09 a.m. March 10. The man, who had a preliminary BAC of 0.151, was taken for a blood draw.

4Four tires and wheels were taken from a Dodge Caravan found on cinder blocks in the 8300 block of North Teutonia Avenue sometime between 8:30 p.m. March 9 and 3:50 a.m. March 10. A dash camera showed two males at the scene.

5An 18-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for possession of 2.67 grams of marijuana by police who were doing parking enforcement at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 7:41 p.m. March 11. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and a baggie with the drug was in plain sight inside the car.

6A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after a two-car accident in the 4300 block of West Good Hope Road at 1 a.m. March 12. The driver, who smelled of alcohol, had a BAC of 0.10.

7Two incidents of shoplifting liquor were reported at Pick ‘n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road: One woman and two men took four or more bottles at 3:10 p.m. March 12 and a man took three bottles of Absolute Vodka at 1:10 p.m. March 13.

8Unlocked cars were entered but nothing taken in the 4200 block of West Cherrywood Lane and the 9400 block of North Green Bay Road on March 12 or 13.


9A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Jose’s Blue Sombrero, 8617 N. Port Washington Road, the evening of March 7 and reported March 10. A man bought drinks, paid with the bill and received $80 in change. The bill was marked for motion picture use only.

10A 17-year-old Glendale boy was cited for shoplifting after taking items valued at $145, including UR Beats Earbuds, at Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 6:20 p.m. March 13. He picked up the items, went into the men’s room and then left the store. An employee was able to get his license plate number and police stopped his car a few blocks away. The boy, who hid the items in his sweatshirt, said he was sorry and had made “a bad decision.”


11A 20-year-old Waukesha woman who was with a man was cited for shoplifting $38 of men’s underwear at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 6:15 p.m. March 5. She said it was for a man she was with.

12A gold ring valued at $500 was reported taken from a resident at Dycora Living Center, 1300 W. Silver Spring Drive, on March 7.

13Two Milwaukee females, 16 and 20, were cited for shoplifting after taking various clothing items valued at $140 from three Bayshore stores, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and H&M, between 7:30 and 9 p.m. March 7. The females left the mall but were found at a nearby restaurant with the stolen items.

14A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after she was stopped for speeding in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road about 11 p.m. March 7. The car had heavily tinted windows and smelled of burnt marijuana. Inside police found 35 grams of marijuana, a scale and a box of baggies.

15A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and possession of marijuana after he was stopped for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 4200 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:16 a.m. March 8. Police found 2.22 grams of marijuana that the man admitted was his. His BAC was 0.13.

16A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second OWI after he was stopped for speeding and unsafe lane deviation in the 1700 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 1:15 a.m. March 9. The man, who admitted being drunk, had a BAC of 0.22.

17Items taken from three unlocked cars were found scattered on the ground in the 6000 block of North Sidney Place at 8:41 a.m. March 9. The only thing reported missing was a $30 phone cord.

18A male was seen on video taking 16 pairs of girls’ jeans and 30 girls’ t-shirts valued at $619 and fleeing Old Navy, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, at 12:45 p.m. March 9.

19The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, March 9 and 10: Three males, 14, 19 and 22, loaded a cart with Tide Pods, Red Bull and other energy drinks valued at more than $330 and attempted to flee. The 22-year-old was also cited for possession of marijuana; A 50-year-old man, who took anti-freeze valued at $22, was also cited for trespassing and possession of a crack pipe; A 52-year-old man, also wanted on three warrants, took $121 of meat.

20A 35-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting women’s clothing valued at $260 at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 1:53 p.m. March 9.

A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana, bail jumping and disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after threatening his wife and her friend at 11:25 a.m. March 10. The man was then taken into custody on an extradition warrant.

21A male picked up 60 pairs of jeans valued at $2,400 on a display table and fled The Gap, 401 W. Northshore Drive, at 1:10 p.m. March 10. He got into a waiting car and drove away.

22A male grabbed sweat pants and shirts valued at $1,200 from a display at the front of the store and fled Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 7:55 p.m. March 10.

23A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl, an employee, was cited for theft from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 2:55 p.m. March 11. The girl was seen on video taking a total of $550 in smaller amounts on a weekly basis beginning Feb. 5.

24A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was cited for carrying a concealed weapon, a stun gun, after the car she was in was stopped in the 5800 block of North Lydell Avenue at 5:40 p.m. March 11. A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy, the driver, was cited for driving without a valid license, failure to register his car and no insurance. There were five other teens in the car and none had a valid license.

25A boy and girl, both 17 of Oklahoma City, were taken into custody on an Oklahoma warrant for “conspiracy to commit homicide” at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 10:46 p.m. March 11. Glendale police had been notified by Oklahoma law enforcement regarding the teens. Also in the room was a 30-year-old Milwaukee man who was taken into custody for harboring and aiding a felon and an 18-year-old Madison woman on warrants.

26Graffiti described as “racially charged” was found spray painted on a wall in the 3900 block of North Murray Avenue at 6 p.m. March 9.

27A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested and charged for armed robbery at Pantry 41 BP, 1604 E. Capitol Drive, at 8:14 a.m. March 10. The man entered the station saying to an employee “give me the money.” He then pulled out a gun. The employee handed over the cash drawer, he grabbed the money and fled. He then robbed a Milwaukee bank and again fled but was arrested after crashing his car in the 2500 block of South Delaware Avenue. The man was also charged for being a felon in possession of a firearm, fleeing an officer and possession of marijuana that he had hidden “in the crevice of his buttocks.”

28A 24-year-old Glendale man was cited for OWI after a 911 call reporting an erratic driver in the 5100 block of North Lake Drive at 10 p.m. March 11. He was taken for a blood draw.

29A 20-year-old Brown Deer woman was cited for underage drinking, possession of marijuana and trespassing after she was found passed out in an unlocked, unoccupied apartment building in the 4400 block of North Wilson Drive at 5 a.m. March 12. The woman had 3 ounces of marijuana.

30A resident reported a suspicious car in the alley behind the 3800 block of North Maryland Avenue at 4 p.m. March 12. Four teenaged males were seen in a car and two got out and looked around. They then drove away. That car came back stolen from Waukesha.

31The following incidents were reported at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave.: Two males were seen loading a cart with detergent, Red Bull and other items valued at $250 and fleeing at 9 p.m. March 12; A 49-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his third shoplifting after taking numerous bottles of alcohol valued at $350 at 7:14 a.m. March 15.

32Electronics valued at more than $1,000 were taken during a burglary in the 3800 block of North Morris Boulevard between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. March 13.


33A locked door of a work minivan was forced open causing $500 damage at Regina’s Bakery, 423 E. Silver Spring Drive, overnight March 12 or 13.

34A resident reported a fraudulent $20 charge on her credit card March 15. The item was purchased through a PayPal account and shipped to the 3700 block of West Cheyenne Street.

35A car’s side mirror was damaged in a hit-and-run incident in the 1100 block of East Fairmount Avenue between 6:55 and 7:10 p.m. March 15.

A resident reported an attempted scam after advertising a refrigerator for sale on Craigslist and receiving a check for more than the asking price March 16. The resident knew this was a scam and did not cash the check.

36A 23-year-old Shorewood man was to be cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a report of a heroin overdose in the 100 block of East Chateau Place at 12:45 p.m. March 18. The man was found breathing but unresponsive due to snorting heroin. He was given Narcan and taken to a hospital.
