1A 41-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for a defective headlight in the 8000 block of North 45th Street at 12:42 a.m. Feb. 25. His BAC was 0.08.

2A woman reported the theft of her wallet by a man she met on the dating app “Plenty of Fish” in the 4100 block of West Schroeder Drive Feb. 25. The man, known only as “The Legend,” took her wallet with $2 cash and credit cards. The cards were cancelled.

3A window on a 2005 Jeep Liberty was broken in the 9500 block of North Green Bay Road before 7 p.m. Feb. 25. Nothing was reported taken.

4The ignition cylinders were damaged on two cars in the 9500 of North Green Bay Road, on Feb. 25 or 26. A window was broken on one car to gain entry. Nothing was reported taken.

5A 22-year-old Brown Deer man was mailed a citation for a noise violation after residents reported a party with very “loud music” in the 6700 block of West Bradley Road at 12:25 a.m. Feb. 26. As police arrived, a number of people ran into the residence and then no one answered the door. Parking tickets were put on six cars parked on grass.

6Two 17-year-old Milwaukee boys were cited for possession of marijuana, trespassing, damage to property and curfew violations after a witness reported them attempting to enter a car in the 4200 block of West Cherrywood Lane at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 26.

7A 55-inch flat screen TV and two Apple iPads were taken during a burglary in the 4800 block of West Calumet Road during the day Feb. 27. A front door was forced open to gain entry.

8Two 29-year-old men, of Cudahy and Milwaukee, were was cited in separate incidents for shoplifting at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, Feb. 28: The Cudahy man was seen on surveillance video taking off his pants in a store aisle, putting on a pair of shorts and then putting his pants back on. The Milwaukee man put a number of small toys inside his jacket. Both were stopped as they attempted to flee.

9Two males, acting aggressively according to employees, entered the store and then pried two iPhones from a display and fled Sprint Store, 5500 W. Brown Deer Road, at 3 p.m. March 1. There was damage to the display area.

10A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his fourth OWI, after he was stopped for erratic driving in the 8700 block of North Servite Drive at 1:23 a.m. March 2. The man, who had a preliminary BAC of 0.210, was taken for a blood draw. His female passenger was treated for her “high level of intoxication.”

11A 47-year-old Brookfield man was cited for internal theft after embezzling more than $20,000 from his place of employment, David Hobbs Honda, 6100 N. Green Bay Ave., over the last year and a half and cited Feb. 21. The man has made some restitution to the business.

12A female was seen pushing a cart load of items valued at more than $100 out of Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 9:11 p.m. Feb. 21. She drove away in a Dodge.

13A rear door of one home and the front door of another were kicked in and entry gained in the 5700 block of North Sidney Place at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 22. When the break-ins occurred was not known. Nothing was reported taken.

14A male and female were seen taking about 20 girls’ clothing items valued at $350 and fleeing Old Navy, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 22.

15A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody on three warrants, one of them a felony warrant for a homicide, after using a relative’s ID to check in at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 1 a.m. Feb. 23. The woman had used someone else’s ID because she had warrants, however, she didn’t know her relative also had a warrant and, when taken into custody, said she was “really upset” she didn’t know.

16A 32-year-old man and 21-year-old woman of Florida and a 30-year-old Kansas man were cited for ID theft, credit card fraud and possession of marijuana after using stolen IDs to “purchase” items at numerous stores in Bayshore Town Center, 5738 N. Bayshore Drive, at 12:35 p.m. Feb. 23. They fled in a rental car but were stopped. The stolen items were found in the car along with more than 10 grams of marijuana, including blunts.

17An Apple iPhone 6 Plus and a laptop valued at $2,300 were taken from a backpack left unattended for a few minutes in the library at Cardinal Stritch University, 6801 N. Yates Road, on Feb. 7 and reported Feb. 23.

18A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 1:38 a.m. Feb. 24. Police responded because the renter of the room, a man who was no longer at the motel, had a warrant. The room smelled of marijuana and 2.55 grams were found. The woman admitted the marijuana was hers.

19A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for habitual criminality and two counts of shoplifting and a 25-year-old Milwaukee woman for shoplifting after they fled with 15 items valued at $220 from H&M, 5765 N. Bayshore Drive, at 11:12 a.m. Feb. 24. They drove away but were stopped in the 1000 block of West Locust Street. The stolen items were in the car along with another 62 items valued at $800 taken from Old Navy. One woman denied shoplifting saying, “I didn’t do nothin’.”

20A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for entry to motor vehicles and disorderly conduct after residents reported her entering cars in the 5400 blocks of North 26th Street and North Shasta Drive and the 4800 block of North Mohawk Avenue about 5 p.m. Feb. 24. The woman, who became disorderly, was given medical assistance.

21A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of heroin after a witness saw him in his car with a needle in his arm in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 10 p.m. Feb. 24. The man drove off but was stopped. He had 0.21 grams of heroin and used syringes telling police he paid $20 for the heroin and used the drug “every other day.”

22A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana and a warrant and in a separate incident, a 35-year-old man was also cited for a warrant and criminal damage to property at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, the woman at 2:08 a.m. and the man at 11:51 a.m. Feb. 25. The woman had 2.42 grams of marijuana along with a blunt. The man, who was with a woman and children, kicked a hole in a wall after he was told it was time to check out.

23A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting and trespassing at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 25. The man hid chicken wings, potato wedges and taco dip valued at $17 in his jacket and ran from the store but was stopped a few blocks away.

24A man was seen on surveillance video taking 20 lace bras valued at $1,028 from a display table and putting them into a booster bag and walking out of Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 6 p.m. Feb. 25. That man, 48 of Milwaukee, returned to the store the next day, was recognized by security, and cited for shoplifting, possession of a booster bag and drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe, at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26. He admitted taking the bras.

25Two females in their 20s took clothing valued at more than $1,000 from The Gap, 401 W. Northshore Drive, at 6:24 p.m. Feb. 25. The women walked through the store, selecting items that they placed on a counter near the exit. They then put those items into a bag and fled.

26A baggie with 1 gram of marijuana was found in a dressing room at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 26.


27A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI, open intoxicants and warned for unsafe lane deviation after she was seen crossing the center line and then onto the shoulder of the road in the 8400 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:48 a.m. Feb. 26. When asked for her driver’s license, the woman gave police a credit card. She failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.22. A half-empty bottle and two empty ones of a margarita-type drink were found in the car along with an empty can of beer. The woman at first denied drinking saying she was on her way to work at a food store.


28Two Milwaukee men, 56 and 71, were cited for theft after taking two tires at Lakeshore Mobil, 2521 E. Capitol Drive, on Feb. 20. They fled but were stopped in Whitefish Bay. This was the second theft citation for the older man.

29A 32-Shorewood man was cited for trespassing and damage to property after returning to a residence he’d been evicted from and breaking glass door panes in the 4400 block of North Murray Avenue at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 23.

A resident reported after losing a wallet in Glendale, credit cards had been used to purchase more than $14,000 of items at various Bayshore Town Center stores Feb. 26.

A resident’s ID, including a social security number, were used fraudulently in an attempt to open credit card accounts. No loss was reported.

30A 15-year-old Milwaukee girl was cited for disorderly conduct and a 14-year-old Shorewood girl for damage to property after the two got into a “loud argument” at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at 8:21 a.m. March 1. During the argument, the 14-year-old broke a window on a door by kicking it.


31A 30-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was cited for disorderly conduct Feb. 23 after she caused a disturbance at a group home, walked away for a short time and when she returned, she hit a care-giver “several” times in the 5800 block of North Lydell Avenue at 5:05 p.m. Feb. 20.

32Police were called when 44 stuffed toy squirrels were found in the parking lot at Whitefish Bay Middle School, 1144 E. Henry Clay St., at 6:30 a.m. Feb. 27. The squirrels were “transported to the station.”

33A 64-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for soliciting without a permit after asking residents for money in the 5100 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 11:32 a.m. Feb. 27. About an hour before, the man was told/warned he needed a permit and could get one at village hall. At that time, he said he was collecting household goods for a charity.

34A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI and speeding 47 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 700 block of East Silver Spring Drive at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 27. Her BAC was 0.18.

35A Schwinn bicycle was taken from a shared garage in the 4900 block of North Shoreland Avenue on Feb. 27 or 28. It was found at Dairy Queen, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 5:43 p.m. Feb. 28.

36Crime Prevention Reminder Cards were left when garage doors were found opened in the following blocks between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. March 1 or 2: 100 West Henry Clay Street, 5300 North Diversey Boulevard, 6000 North Lake Drive and 6100 North Shoreland Avenue.

37A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 2.1 grams of marijuana after he was stopped for expired registration on North Lydell Avenue at West Chateau Place at 1:33 a.m. March 3.

38A 47-year-old Shorewood man was cited for OWI, driving with a revoked license and refusal to take a breath test after he was stopped for a defective brake light in the 5200 block of North Lydell Avenue at 2:22 a.m. March 3. A warrant was issued and he was taken for a blood draw.
