BROWN DEER

1The following people were cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, on Feb. 10 and 11: A 55-year-old Milwaukee man took a $229 vacuum cleaner but dropped it as he ran from the store; A 37-year-old Milwaukee man, who took infant clothing and a knife valued at $53, gave a false name and then fled from the scene. He was located and also cited for obstruction and a warrant; A 57-year-old Brown Deer man took $100 of liquor.

2A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for violation of absolute sobriety, obstruction and, along with his passenger, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, on warrants in the 8200 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 12:46 a.m. Feb. 10. His BAC was 0.06.

3A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 4500 block of West Dean Road at 3:41 p.m. Feb. 10. The man was found with a roach and a bag holding 19.6 grams of marijuana. His passenger, a 36-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody on a warrant.

4A 25-year-old Brown Deer woman was cited for disorderly conduct and a warrant after a report that she was causing a disturbance in a hallway and parking lot in the 4300 block of West Dean Road at 3:22 a.m. Feb. 11.

5A male was caught on video taking items valued at about $1,000 at Burlington, 9040 N. Green Bay Road, on Feb. 11 and reported Feb. 13.

6Damage to a steering column and door lock was reported in an attempted theft of a car in the 6400 block of West County Line Road before 2 p.m. Feb. 11.

7A 49-year-old Grafton man was cited for his third OWI, possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants in the 4400 block of West River Lane at 1:34 a.m. Feb. 12. His preliminary BAC was 0.187 and he was taken for a blood draw.

8A 28-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstruction after a woman reported he threatened to harm her at 8:25 p.m. Feb. 12.

9A male was seen with a cart full of items valued at more than $75 and fleeing Michael’s, 9090 N. Green Bay Road, at 11 a.m. Feb. 13.

A resident reported she was notified that her personal identification had been used in an attempt to get credit cards at Kohl’s, Target, Macys and Home Depot on Feb. 13. No cards were issued.

10Two 15-year-old Brown Deer boys were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting during an after-school program at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 6 p.m. Feb. 15. The boys were turned over to their parents or guardians.

11A resident reported that his 55-inch TV and an Energy sound bar were taken during a burglary in the 8100 block of North 62nd Street between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 16. A rear door had been kicked in to gain entry.

FOX POINT

12A resident found mail that had been sent by neighbors opened and scattered in his driveway in the 7500 block of North Mohawk Road about 3 p.m. Feb. 17. The resident said the mail he put in his box to be picked up was gone. Some of the opened envelopes, mailed from the 7000 block of North Fairchild Road and the 7200 block of North River Road, River Hills, had contained checks and those checks were also gone. Officers met with these residents and advised them to cancel their checks and inform their banks.

GLENDALE 

13A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting after taking sweatshirts, pants and perfume valued at more than $200 and exiting the west doors at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:46 p.m. Feb. 7. When stopped and told she was now banned from the store, she said she knew it was wrong to steal.

A man reported that someone used his name, address and social security number to open an online account and purchase items valued at more than $1,400 at Kohl’s on Feb. 7.

14Two women grabbed items valued at more than $900 and fled Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 7:37 p.m. Feb. 7.

15A 26-year-old Glendale man was cited for burglary, unauthorized use of a person’s ID and bail jumping after he entered a neighbor’s residence, taking a wallet and phone, in the 6500 block of North Sidney Place about 7 a.m. Feb. 8. He then used a stolen credit card for $169 at Foot Locker and had the items sent to his residence.

16Two males put lotions and body sprays valued at $150 into a bag and fled Bath & Body Works, 5698 N. Bayshore Drive, at 10:20 a.m. Feb. 8.

17A female “shopping” with two males and another female grabbed a fur jacket valued at $100 and fled Akira, 5675 N. Centerpark Way, at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 8.

18A 34-year-old Plymouth woman was cited for possession of narcotic drugs and heroin,  a warrant and bail jumping after she was found slumped over in a car in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:26 a.m. Feb. 9. The woman had 0.93 grams of heroin and hydrochloride.

19Two car windows were shattered, causing $500 damage possibly by being hit with BB pellets, in the 2400 block of West Daphne Road on Feb. 8 or 9. In what might be related incidents, another car had a window shattered and damage to a tail light in the 6800 block of North Braeburn Lane and a car parked in a driveway was found with a tire slashed in the 6500 block of North Braeburn both Feb. 8 or 9.

20A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license after she was stopped for license plates not registered to the car in the 4800 block of North Port Washington Road at 6 p.m. Feb. 9. The woman, who said it was her friend’s car, had 0.55 grams of marijuana in a baggie.

21A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after he was stopped for failure to have a front plate in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 12:43 a.m. Feb. 10. The man, who said the car wasn’t his, admitted smoking marijuana and was found with 1.93 grams in a mason jar.

22A woman reported being the victim of an armed robbery after she was approached by a man with a gun, who took her 2016 Chevy Suburban valued at $54,000 outside Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 11:33 a.m. Feb. 10. The woman was just getting out of the car with her children when the man appeared. He drove off and the car was recovered a few hours later on the northwest side of Milwaukee.

23A 13-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for damage to property after he threw a rock from the bike path that hit the window of a squad car causing $500 damage on North Green Bay Avenue a block south of West Civic Drive at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 12. The boy, along with four others, fled on bicycles but were stopped about 10 blocks east. The boy admitted he was the one who threw the rock.

24A male was seen taking four Seiko and three iTouch watches valued at more than $1,100 from a cabinet and fleeing Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12. The man drove off in a car that was reported stolen.

25A man filled a cart with meat valued at $215 and fled Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 12.

26A woman reported the theft of her bank debit card while she shopped in the 400 block of West Northshore Drive the morning of Feb. 13. Before the theft was reported, the card was used with the pin number at two ATM machines to withdraw more than $220 from her savings account.

RIVER HILLS

27A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI, possession of marijuana, obstructing an officer, driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding 73 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 1300 block of West Good Hope Road at 12:48 a.m. Feb. 15. The woman sped by a squad car without headlights and hit a curb, causing two flat tires. She then lied to police by giving a false name and birth date. The woman, who had 1 gram of marijuana in a baggie, failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.15.

SHOREWOOD         

A Shorewood business owner reported that an unknown person used his address and business name fraudulently to name a roofing company between November and Feb. 8. There was no financial lost to the complainant.

28A 20-year-old Shorewood man was cited for theft and trespassing after taking a $20 pair of pants from an unlocked locker at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, about 6:15 p.m. Feb. 8 and reported Feb. 9.

29An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman, an employee, was cited for theft after she was caught on video about five times taking and eating food valued at $35 at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., on Feb. 9.

30A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl of Milwaukee were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after they were found in a car after hours at Estabrook Park, 4500 N. Estrabrook Parkway, at 10:12 p.m. Feb. 10. They had corner cut baggies and a pipe, both with marijuana residue, and a bottle of wine.

A resident reported being the victim of a scam after purchasing a car advertised on Craigslist for $2,500 Feb. 13. He sent the money via a money gram but never got the car or heard from “the seller” again.

31Copper Line Sets valued at $1,800 were taken from a locked storage closet in an unlocked building at a construction site in the 4100 block of North Oakland Avenue overnight Feb. 13 or 14.

A 46-year-old Shorewood woman was cited for battery/domestic violence related, disorderly conduct and battery to a police officer after attacking a man, hitting him in the head, and when police attempted to take her into custody, she kicked an officer in the stomach at 8:41 p.m. Feb. 15.

WHITEFISH BAY

32A DPW employee reported finding evidence of possible drug use by Whitefish Bay High School students in the men’s room at Cahill Square, 1011 E. Fairmount Ave., at noon Feb. 10. A few days later a 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, a grinder, when he was found with three other Whitefish Bay students in the Cahill Square building at 11:20 a.m. Feb. 16. On Feb. 18, a parent alerted police that a Whitefish Bay student might be using drugs at that location.

33A 21-year-old Caledonia man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for suspended registration in the 4700 block of North Lake Drive at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 14. The man had 5 grams of marijuana and a pipe and grinder with residue.

34A 23-year-old Glendale man was cited for OWI-drugs and possession of marijuana after he was stopped for speeding in the 5000 block of North Lake Drive at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 17. The man had 6.5 grams of marijuana and was taken for a blood draw.

35A witness reported two men entering an unlocked vacant house in the 5800 block of North Shoreland Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 17. They drove off but were stopped and warned for trespassing. Another witness called police, saying others had attempted to enter the home at 1:33 p.m. Feb. 18.

36A 63-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for speeding in the 5000 block of North Lake Drive at 12:55 a.m. Feb. 18. His BAC was 0.10.

37Witnesses reported a white male in his 30s had spray painted large rocks on the beach in the 6300 block of North Lake Drive at 10:35 a.m. Feb. 18. The man fled up the bluff when he saw he was being watched. The spray can was recovered.
