1A 23-year-old Fond du Lac man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for a burned-out light, lane deviation and failure to signal in the 9200 block of I-43 at 2:12 a.m. Feb. 5. Several cans of beer and a bottle of alcohol were found in the car. The man failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.11.
2The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, Jan. 26 to Feb. 2: Two women, 22 and 70, took numerous cosmetics; A 25-year-old woman took weight-loss pills; A 21-year-old man took over-the-counter medication; A 28-year-old woman, on probation for disorderly conduct, took make-up and other items.
3A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 1.88 grams of marijuana after his car was stopped because his plates did not match the car in the 6300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 27.
4A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for speeding in the 6300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:37 p.m. Jan. 27. His BAC was .015.
5Two people were seen pushing two cart loads of food items out of Aldi’s, 6720 W. Brown Deer Road, at 7:21 p.m. Jan. 28. They fled with the food in a white minivan.
6A Sig Sauer P238 semi-automatic handgun was taken from a car in the 8200 block of North 50th Street sometime Nov. 24 to Dec. 9 and reported Jan. 29. The owner did not report the theft right away, thinking a friend might have taken it or it had been misplaced.
7An Apple iPhone was taken after being left on a chair in the gym while the owner played basketball at the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, early evening Jan. 31.
8A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after a witness called police reporting an odor of marijuana coming from a car in the 7600 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 7:37 p.m. Feb. 1. A blunt was found in the car.
9A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 6100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11 p.m. Feb. 1. A blunt was found on the floor board and the man admitted it was his.
10A set of UR Beats Earbuds valued at $105 was taken from a locked dorm room in Claire Hall at Cardinal Stritch University , 6801 N. Yates Road, between 1 and 4:10 p.m. Jan. 24.
11A front door was found heavily damaged in what was described as an attempted burglary in the 8300 block of North Indian Creek Parkway between 6:45 and 7:10 p.m. Jan. 28. Entry was not gained.
12A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, unauthorized use of credit cards and two theft warrants after hiding a Lenovo Ideapad 100 valued at $200 in the front of his pants and attempting to walk out of Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:55 p.m. Feb. 1. He set off the alarm and when stopped admitted the theft saying he wanted to sell the Ideapad to buy drugs and food saying, “I’m a crack head.” He had a crack pipe and a pipe with marijuana residue along with various credit cards that had been stolen. The man denied stealing the cards, saying he found them earlier on a bus.
13A wallet and contents, including keys, $10 cash and an ID, were taken from a purse left unattended for a short time at Noodles and Company, 8781 N. Port Washington Road, about 8:45 p.m. Feb. 3.
14An 18-year-old Milwaukee man took six jackets valued at $247 at Forever 21, 5766 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 18. He drove away but was stopped.
15The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 29-year-old woman took purses and underwear valued at $130 on Jan. 18; A 54-year-old man was cited twice: He took two men’s jackets valued at $200 and fled the store Jan. 20. On Jan. 21, he returned and took clothing valued at $356. However, this time he was recognized and stopped as he left the store; A 32-year-old woman took $22 of lip gloss Jan. 21; Two men, 32 and 33, took clothing and hats valued at $167 and fled in a car that was stopped Jan. 21. One man was then cited for driving with a revoked license; Two women, 23 and 28, who received gift cards totaling $363 after returning items they had stolen, were cited after attempting to use those cards Jan. 22; A 21-year-old woman loaded a cart with $179 of kitchen items and a pair of $16 pants and fled the store Jan. 25. She was stopped when she ran into a nearby restaurant; A 22-year-old woman took infant and toddler clothing valued at $100 on Jan. 27.
16A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for resisting an officer causing injury, a criminal arrest for an attempt to escape, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a narcotic drug and a probation violation at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 24. After police found the man’s car with false plates and smelling strongly of marijuana, the man called to the officers from his room. When confronted in the motel, he fought with officers and had to be Tasered “multiple times.”
17A 35-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting two pairs of designer sunglasses valued at $340 at Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 26. She had shoplifted the sunglasses Jan. 25 and was recognized when she returned the next day and was found with a crack pipe, telling police she used it to protect herself.
18Three incidents of shoplifting were reported at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive: Two Milwaukee men, 23 and 46, took $51 of steaks at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21; A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman took $12 of food at 9:24 p.m. Jan. 27; A 35-year-old Watertown woman took packages of meat, shrimp and health products valued at more than $150 into the bathroom, where she hid the items on her person and then attempted to flee at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28.
19A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after he received his order of chicken wings and then began to throw them around the restaurant angry because he didn’t get BBQ sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings, 590 W. Northshore Drive, at 9:42 p.m. Jan. 29. When removed from the restaurant, the man continued to yell, saying he just got out of prison.
20A 21-year-old Chicago woman was cited after attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription for Promethazine with Codeine at Walgreens, 5400 N. Port Washington Road, at 9:48 a.m. Jan. 30. The woman had attempted the same fraud at a CVS Pharmacy in Whitefish Bay and was cited there as well.
21A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after he was found in his car with motor running, stopped on the side of the road in the 600 block of West Good Hope Road at 2:37 a.m. Feb. 1. At first, the man could not be awakened. When he did wake up, he smelled of alcohol and told police he had pulled over “to sleep it off.” He failed field sobriety tests.
22A 19-year-old Racine man was cited for failure to obey a traffic signal, unregistered vehicle and open intoxicants and his three passengers, a 19-year-old Skokie, Illinois, man, and two 18-year-old women of Cudahy and Monona for underage drinking at North Oakland and East Edgewood avenues at 10 p.m. Jan. 28. The three underage drinkers had BACs of 0.14, 0.06 and 0.03.
23Two Milwaukee women were cited for shoplifting in separate incidents after taking items and then walking out of Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave.: A 60-year-old woman put lobster tails and tea valued at more than $100 into a bag at 1:32 p.m. Jan. 28; A 28-year-old woman, with a previous citation for shoplifting, filled a cart with items, mostly meat, valued at more than $630, at 5:43 p.m. Jan. 31.
A resident reported an attempted scam after he downloaded an app onto his computer that he thought had been sent by a neighbor Jan. 30. He then reported his financial advisor called him saying the advisor had received an email supposedly from the resident asking the advisor to transfer $28,000 to a new account. No money was transferred and no money was lost.
A resident reported an attempted scam after advertising her piano for sale on Craigslist for $200 and receiving a check for $2,395.27 from the “buyer,” who told her to deposit the check and transfer the overpayment of $2,195.27 to the “movers” Jan 29. The check was not deposited and no money was lost.
24Two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl of Whitefish Bay and a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy were mailed citations for trespassing after reported swimming after hours and without permission in the Whitefish Bay High School auxiliary pool, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., the evening of Jan. 30.
25A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for resisting/obstruction after he was stopped for running a red light at East Hampton Road and North Santa Monica Boulevard at 8:22 p.m. Jan. 31. The man refused to identify himself and was “argumentative.”
26A 2004 Jeep Liberty was reported taken from the 4600 block of North Oakland Avenue overnight between 5 p.m. Jan. 31 and 7:35 a.m. Feb. 1. At 1:52 a.m. Feb. 1, an officer reported two Jeep Liberties speeding over 80 mph heading west in the 200 block of East Hampton Road. There was no pursuit. The stolen Jeep was found abandoned with a broken window and damaged steering column half on a curb in the 5600 block of 91st Street at 1:19 a.m. Feb. 2. It could not be driven and was towed.
27A small amount of change was taken from an unlocked car parked in the 1300 block of East Henry Clay Street before 6:15 p.m. Feb. 3.
28A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after stopped for speeding in the 700 block of East Henry Clay Street at 2:29 a.m. Feb. 4.
29A 17-year-old Glendale boy was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after his car was stopped for unsafe lane deviation in the 600 block of East Henry Clay Street at 2:35 a.m. Feb. 5. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car, where 22 grams were found in an athletic bag along with a scale and grinder.
