1A man was cited for OWI after he was found in his car that was half on the road and half on the sidewalk in the 500 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 17. He smelled of alcohol and admitted drinking three beers but not while he was in his car. He was given field sobriety tests but stopped them saying they were not necessary because “I’m drunk.” His BAC was 0.15.
2The following people were cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: Two 38-year-old Milwaukee men were cited in separate incidents Jan. 12. One, also cited for obstruction for using a relative’s name, ran from the store with tubes of ground beef valued at $29 and the other, also cited for possession of marijuana, switched price tags; A woman reported someone took her wallet while she shopped and used credit/debit cards at Walgreens and Pick ‘n Save in Brown Deer and K&G in Milwaukee on Jan. 13; Two Brown Deer Girls, 14 and 15, admitted hiding items and drinking soda they did not pay for as they walked in the store Jan. 14.
A 27-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related at 1:35 p.m. Jan. 12.
3A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and hit and run after he hit a parked car witnessed by an officer and drove away from the 6000 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:37 p.m. Jan. 12. His preliminary BAC was 0.211.
4An iPod was taken from an office in the 9000 block of North Deerbrook Trail on Jan. 12 or 13.
5A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and his passenger, a 36-year-old Milwaukee woman, for carrying a concealed weapon, a pistol, in the 4300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:08 a.m. Jan. 15. His preliminary BAC was 0.084.
6Three male juveniles were seen breaking into a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country minivan and then fleeing the car at Walmart, 6300 W. West Brown Deer Road, at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 15.
7A man reported his car was taken after he left it running for just a few minutes in the 4700 block of West Bradley Road between 4 and 4:25 p.m. Jan. 15. A short time later, the car was found with the motor still running in the 4400 block of West Parkland Avenue.
8A truck was broken into and a car alarm sounded at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., about 4:45 p.m. Jan. 15. A witness reported seeing a male, 15 or 16, walking in the lot.
9A 27-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for OWI after driving his car into a ditch in the 8300 block of North Cedarburg Road at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 15. The man, who was found injured on the ground about a block away, told police he hadn’t been driving but told North Shore Fire he had been. He was treated at a hospital.
10A window was found broken and a door open in the 5400 block of West Joleno Lane at noon Jan. 16. Nothing was reported missing.
11Two males, dressed as females, were seen loading shopping bags with body care products valued at $300 and fleeing Bath and Body Works, 9096 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 17. They drove off in a silver Infiniti.
12Three females fled without paying their $100 bill at Applebee’s, 9080 N. Green Bay Road, at 8 p.m. Jan. 17. One, a 22-year-old Milwaukee woman, was identified.
13A 38-year-old Oconomowoc woman was cited for OWI after she and her dog were found in her car that was sitting on a large rock near a damaged tree in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:53 a.m. Jan. 16. The woman, who said she got lost trying to get from Waukesha to Oconomowoc and her phone was dead, denied both drinking and hitting the tree. However, a short time later, she admitted both. Her preliminary BAC was 0.048 and she was taken for a blood draw. Damage to the tree was more than $500.
14A warrant was issued for a 34-year-old man on allegations of retail theft and resisting/obstruction after he was identified in a photo array as the person who took eight video game controllers valued at $515 from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, about noon Jan. 18. The man fled the store with the stolen items, got into a car and drove away heading onto I-43.
15A 27-year-old Fox Point man was cited for OWI and hit-and-run after backing into a mailbox and hitting a tree in the 7300 block of North Crossway Road at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The man’s car had a dented bumper with tree bark on it and a damaged taillight with pieces of that light found at the base of the tree. He said he might have done that damage but wasn’t sure. He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.25.
16A designer purse valued at $320 along with $20 in cash and business cards was taken from a locked car at the rear of The Knitting Knook, 6858 N. Santa Monica Blvd., between 10 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Jan. 21. A window was found with a large hole causing $250 damage.
17Two thefts were reported at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way: Items valued at more than $1,500 were taken during a “smash and grab” at the store about 4:50 a.m. Jan. 4. A large front window was broken to gain entry causing $2,000 damage; A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after taking four items valued at $136 at 3:45 pm. Jan. 10.
18About $40 and a debit/credit card were taken from a girl’s locker at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, between 8:15 and 9 a.m. Jan. 5.
19A Bobcat Bucket Sweeper valued at more than $4,500 was taken from a construction site at Holiday Inn, 4700 N. Port Washington Road, sometime after Jan. 6 and reported Jan. 11.
20A 38-year-old Greenfield man was cited for trespassing, bail jumping and shoplifting after taking three Bucks caps valued at $88 at Name of the Game, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:18 p.m. Jan. 11. The man was cited on two more counts of shoplifting after he was found with items taken from Boston Store and Old Navy valued at more than $120.
21Tools valued at more than $6,800 were taken from a locked trailer at a construction site in the 7000 block of North Port Washington Road overnight Jan. 11 or 12. The lock was pried off to gain entry.
22A 42-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting after taking a $100 Nike jacket at Champs, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 12. The woman was also cited for obstruction after giving a false name, for two counts of bail jumping and on six warrants, all for retail theft at various stores.
23A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct after yelling and then kicking at an employee while waiting for food at Buffalo Wild Wings, 590 W. Northshore Drive, at 6:54 p.m. Jan. 12.
24Three unlocked lockers being used by a visiting team were entered and a $180 pair of boots taken from one locker and cash of $15 from two others during a basketball game at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, the evening of Jan. 13.
25A 17-year-old Bayside boy was cited for OWI after he drove into a fence near North Port Washington and West Apple Tree roads at 11:54 p.m. Jan. 13. The boy, who admitted having three shots of tequila, had a BAC of 0.10.
26A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting a pair of $179 sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, at 5 p.m. Jan. 14. The man ran from the store but was stopped, saying he bought the glasses but threw the receipt away.
27Two Milwaukee men, 21 and 26, were cited for shoplifting and one also on a warrant after filling their backpacks with packages of Red Bull valued at $105 at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 8:39 a.m. Jan. 15.
28The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 25-year-old man took a pair of shoes valued at $54 at 3 p.m. Jan. 15. He was taken into custody for five warrants, all for theft in two other communities; A 16-year-old girl took two pairs of pantyhose valued at $20 Jan. 15.
29Cash was taken during a robbery at Speedway, 6170 N. Green Bay Ave., about 7 p.m. Jan. 15. A male wearing a black mask handed the employee a note saying “Give me the money. I have a gun I will use it.” No gun was seen.
30A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI and unsafe lane deviation after an officer saw her weaving in traffic in the 800 to 1400 blocks of West Good Hope Road at 1:27 a.m. Jan. 22. When asked, she denied drinking but after failing field sobriety tests she admitted having two glasses of wine earlier. Her BAC was 0.12.
31A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for identity theft after he attempted to purchase $300 of paint to be charged to a management company that he said he worked for at Sherman Williams, 3510 N. Oakland Ave., at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 13. The man, who did not work for that company, used someone else’s ID.
32Three homes were “egged” but no damage reported in the 4400 block of North Murray Avenue and the 2400 block of East Kensington and the 2500 block of East Lake Bluff boulevards, early morning Jan. 14 or 15.
33A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for expired registration in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2:42 a.m. Jan. 14. His BAC was 0.15.
34A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for theft of three bottles of vodka valued at more than $100 and disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she was seen taking the vodka and struggled with employees at Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:15 a.m. Jan. 15.
35Electronics valued at about $500 were taken from the 4200 block of North Farwell Avenue between 10:40 and 11:20 a.m. Jan. 18. Forced entry was made on a rear window.
36A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting, disorderly conduct and violation of his probation after taking liquor valued at $82 at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., at 6 p.m. Jan. 18. The man threatened employees and was able to drive away but was stopped by police. He was then identified as having taken liquor from the Market on Jan. 17 and was cited for that incident as well.
37A 32-year-old Glendale woman was cited for OWI after she was stopped for suspended registration in the 4800 block of North Berkeley Boulevard at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 14. The woman had a BAC of 0.14.
38A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second OWI, resisting/obstruction, battery/threat to law enforcement and speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 4900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 11:44 p.m. Jan. 14. The man was “combative and resistive” with officers and had to be Tasered. A warrant was issued and he was taken for a blood draw.
39A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and defective brake lights in the 4800 block of North Ardmore Avenue at 3:13 a.m. Jan. 15. His BAC was 0.10.
40A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and three warrants after the car he was in was stopped for suspended plates in the 5000 block of North Marlborough Boulevard. The man had 1.3 grams of marijuana and a grinder with residue.
41A 62-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for a suspended registration in the 4900 block of North Lydell Avenue at 4:41 p.m. Jan. 17. His BAC was 0.25.
42A 20-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for OWI after hitting a tree in the 100 block of East Henry Clay Street at 2 a.m. Jan. 19. The man walked away from the accident but was located and admitted driving the car. He was taken for a blood draw.
