1The following shoplifting citations were reported at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A 21-year-old Neosho woman took $45 of hygiene products Jan. 5; A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman, who had a warrant, took $44 of DVDs Jan. 6; Three Milwaukee women, 23, 25, 40, were cited after they two took items, received store credit for those items and then gave the store credit to the other woman, who was in the checkout lane Jan. 7; A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman, also wanted on a warrant, was cited after taking bras and attempting to made a fraudulent return Jan. 9; A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited after switching price tags Jan. 9.

A 33-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for battery/domestic violence related after fighting with a male relative cutting his eye at 7 p.m. Jan. 5.

2Two watches and two phones valued at $500 were reported taken from the 4300 block of West Bradley Road on Jan. 6.

3Two men were caught on video filling shopping bags with items valued at $300 and fleeing Bath and Body Works, 9096 N. Green Bay Road, at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 6 and reported Jan. 8.

4Electronics were taken from the 8700 block of North 66th Street between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Jan. 6. A back door was forced open.

A resident reported fraudulent use of her debit card after someone used it to purchase five airline tickets valued at $2,350 to fly to California on Jan. 6.

5Two Milwaukee men, 21 and 23, were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting at Applebee’s, 9080 N. Green Bay Road, at 8:48 p.m. Jan. 6.

6A 25-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for his second OWI after a caller reported an impaired driver in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 7. The man was taken for a blood draw.

7A 54-year-old Milwaukee woman is a suspect in the theft of another woman’s wallet taken from her purse at Goodwill, 9305 N. Green Bay Road, at 2:18 p.m. Jan. 9. The suspect fled in a car.

A 27-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and taken into custody for violation of his probation after he would not let a relative out of a room because she wouldn’t let him drive her car at 4:10 p.m. Jan. 9. Drug paraphernalia was found in his possession.

8Two 12-year-old Brown Deer boys were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 10.

A 48-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after getting into an argument with a woman, threatening her and knocking a plate of food out of her hand at 3:09 p.m. Jan. 11.

9An iPhone and iPad Pro were reported taken from a display at Sprint Store, 9124 N. Green Bay Road, at 8 p.m. Jan. 11.


10A 49-year-old Fox Point man was cited for OWI, refusal to take a breath test and speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 7500 block of North Lake Drive at 3 a.m. Jan. 1. At first, police had attempted to stop him when he failed to dim his bright lights but he kept driving. When stopped, the man failed field sobriety tests and when asked, denied drinking three times. He also resisted and argued with police when taken into custody.

11A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for theft, obstructing an officer and a warrant after taking an MP3 player valued at $50 at Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:33 a.m. Jan. 9. The man drove off but was stopped on I-43. He, at first, denied the theft but then admitted taking the MP3 player into the men’s room to remove the packaging but then flushing it down the toilet when a security guard entered. He also admitted using a fake ID because of the warrant.


12Items valued at more than $600, including jewelry, a laptop and tools were taken from the 6800 block of North Bethmaur Lane Dec. 23 or 24. A window on a back door had been broken to gain entry.

13Two 19-year-old Milwaukee women were cited, one for theft from her employer and one for shoplifting items valued at more than $800 at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4 p.m. Jan. 2. The employee put items into a cart and told the other woman where to find that cart in the store. That woman then put items she wanted in the cart and went to where her friend was checking out customers. Loss prevention saw the employee ring up items and then delete those charges.

14About $150 was taken from a purse belonging to a resident at Golden Living Center, 1300 W. Silver Spring Drive, sometime from Dec. 31 to Jan. 3.

15A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after a bus driver called police because the man, who was intoxicated, was causing a disturbance in the 7000 block of North Port Washington Road at 4:13 p.m. Jan. 4. The man, who had 1.7 grams of marijuana in two corner cut baggies, swore at and threatened officers using profane language.

16A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after stopped for illegal U-turn in the 5800 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:22 a.m. Jan. 5. He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.32.

17Various drug paraphernalia, including pipes with residue, were found in a hallway after a resident reported the odor of burnt marijuana in the 6600 block of North Sidney Place at noon Jan. 5.

18A 26-year-old Franklin woman was cited for shoplifting and trespassing after taking seven men’s Polo clothing items valued at $772 at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 6 p.m. Jan. 5. The woman, who hid the items inside her own clothing, had been banned from the store for three years in April after being cited for shoplifting then.

19Three men, 18, 19 and 20, and two 19-year-old women of Milwaukee were cited for fraud on an innkeeper after failure to pay for their food at Applebee’s, 5664 N. Port Washington Road, at 9 p.m. Jan. 5. The group left two counterfeit $10 bills on the table and fled but were located about a block away.

20An employee’s 2011 Nissan Murano was taken with keys after those keys were taken from her jacket at Posh Nail Lounge, 204 W. Silver Spring Drive, sometime Jan. 6. There is a suspect -- a man who came into the store saying he was looking for work and walked around for a while and then left.

21A man was seen grabbing about eight packs of Newports, valued at more than $50, and fleeing Speedway, 6170 N. Green Bay Ave., at 7:25 a.m. Jan. 7.

22A woman reported the theft of her diamond ring valued at $5,000 that she left in a restroom near the Rotunda at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, about noon Jan. 3 and reported Jan. 7. The woman said she took off the ring and put it on the sink while she washed her hands. She then left, forgetting the ring. When she returned later, it was gone.

23A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman, described as intoxicated, was cited for disorderly conduct after attempting to pay for breakfast with a counterfeit $100 bill and then arguing with employees when they wouldn’t take the bill marked with the words “For Motion Picture Use Only” at McDonald’s, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:37 a.m. Jan. 8.

24The following people were cited for shoplifting at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave.: A 23-year-old Sister Bay woman took a $7 bottle of liquor Dec. 27; A 31-year-old Milwaukee man took cans of Red Bull valued at $70 on Jan. 6; A citation is pending for a 27-year-old woman who took 10 cans of Gerber Stage 1 Formula valued at $190 but when stopped and put the items back Jan. 9.

25A 26-year-old Shorewood man was cited for disorderly conduct after refusing to leave a business and described as “unable to care for himself” in the 2200 block of East Capitol Drive at 10 p.m. Jan. 6. The man, who was described as “extremely intoxicated,” was picked up by family members.

26A resident called police after finding three crack pipes outside in the 2200 block of East Menlo Boulevard on Jan. 7.

A 38-year-old Shorewood man was cited for fraud on a taxi after refusing to pay his $13.50 fare after the driver came to the police department to report that refusal and also that the man was “unruly” about 4 a.m. Jan. 8.

A resident reported an attempted scam after a call saying a relative was in jail and needed bail money Jan. 9. The man called that relative, who was fine, and no money was sent.


A 30-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for disorderly conduct and battery, both domestic violence related, after he threatened a relative saying he would harm her at 11:44 p.m. Jan. 10. Police were then told that on Jan. 8 the man had kicked the relative causing “significant bruises.”

Crime Prevention Reminder cards were left after garage doors were found open in the 1100 block of East Courtland Place and the 4600 block of North Marlborough Drive about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 12.

27A 43-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after stopped for speeding 46 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 4900 block of North Lake Drive at 2:44 a.m. Jan. 14.
