1A man was cited for OWI after a report of a reckless driver at North Green Bay and West Brown Deer roads at 4:41 a.m. Nov. 4. The man, who admitted drinking, failed field sobriety tests including being asked to count backwards from 37 to 21. The man said, “One, two, three, four …” His BAC was 0.114 and he was taken for a blood draw.
A warrant was issued and charges referred to the DA for a 25-year-old Brown Deer man on allegations of disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and theft after he pushed a woman, grabbed her arm, threw her keys in some bushes and fled with her cell phone and wallet at 5 a.m. Oct. 29.
Police were called to assist a woman as she returned home in case her ex-boyfriend, 29 of Milwaukee, who had been issued a no-contact order, was there at noon Oct. 29. He was at the residence and cited for possession of a schedule II narcotic, obstruction and a warrant. Police were called again after a report the man had returned, kicked in a door and was yelling at the woman at 8 p.m. Oct. 31. He was again taken into custody and cited for criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct/domestic violence related, damage to property and bail jumping.
2A man was seen taking items valued at more than $200, including toddler clothing, a watch and a jacket, and running out the emergency exit at Burlington, 9040 N. Green Bay Road, at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 29. He drove off in a green SUV.
A resident reported her debit card number had been used fraudulently to withdraw money at several ATM machines Nov. 1.
3A 15-year-old Brown Deer boy was cited for possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds, a knife found in his locker, at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 2.
4A 17-year-old of Manitowoc boy and two men, 19 and 20 of Aurora, Colorado, and Milwaukee, were cited for trespassing at YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 2. The males admitting “sneaking” into the building.
5Two Milwaukee men, 23 and 28, were cited for prowling at a construction site in the 6600 block of West Brown Deer Road on Nov. 2. One man admitted entering a truck but nothing was taken.
6The following shoplifting incidents were reported at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, on Nov. 2 or 3. A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy, also cited for possession of crack cocaine and resisting, ran from the store but was stopped; A female, who was not stopped, took $87 of baby items; A 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman of Milwaukee were cited after taking baby items.
7A 24-year-old Glendale woman was cited for possession of 3 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, failure to wear a seatbelt and given a 15-day notice for expired registration in the 300 block of West Bergen Drive at 10:44 a.m. Oct. 28. There was a strong odor of burnt marijuana in the car and the woman said she had smoked the drug in her car “yesterday.” Two one-hit style marijuana pipes with residue were found in the car along with marijuana shake in a baggie. After the woman was taken into custody, she told police she had marijuana hidden in her bra.
8Two Milwaukee boys, 16 and 17, were cited for possession of marijuana and the older boy also for possession of drug paraphernalia and the younger boy for a curfew violation after they were found in a car parked at a closed business in the 7900 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:24 a.m. Oct. 30. The car smelled of the drug and both admitted they smoked it earlier. The older boy told police he had a water bong in the car and when a tin container with 0.08 grams of marijuana was found in the back seat area, he said it belonged to a friend. The boys were later turned over to their parents.
9A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she threatened an employee and knocked over a display of nail polish at Magical Nails, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at noon Oct. 26. The woman left the shop and then had a “physical altercation” with a security guard. She denied the allegations.
10The following incidents of shoplifting were reported at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way: Three teenage girls fled with $94 of items about 7 p.m. Oct. 26.; A female grabbed clothing valued at more than $500 and fled at 5 p.m. Oct. 29.
11Three men, ages 21 to 23, left without paying their bill of $223.82 at Cheesecake Factory, 5799 N. Bayshore Drive, at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 26.
A 44-year-old Grafton woman was cited for battery/domestic violence related, after she threw a pill bottle hitting a man in the face at 10:40 a.m. Oct. 27.
12A 65-year-old Fox Point woman was cited for OWI-drugs after a report of her driving erratically, almost hitting a sign in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 27. The woman failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.
13A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after taking $23 of lotion at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 27.
14Various work tools valued at more than $300 were taken from an unlocked vendor’s truck at 333 W. Estabrook Blvd., the morning of Oct. 28.
15A 23-year-old Madison man was cited for possession of 0.78 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a pipe with residue, and a 22-year-old Brussels man for violation of a “child abuse protection order,” a 17-year-old juvenile, when they were all found in a car parked in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road, at 1:14 a.m. Oct. 29.
16A 53-year-old West Bend woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she was found on school property handing out “literature” to students at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Nicolet Road, at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 31. The woman was told she could not do that on school property and had to leave but refused, was not cooperative and then cited.
17A 17-year-old Cedarburg girl was cited for shoplifting after taking a handbag and packages of hot chocolate valued at $153 at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 6 p.m. Oct. 31. She said the hot chocolate was for Christmas gifts.
18Items valued at about $750, including a Bose sound bar, a 32-inch flat screen TV and Illinois lottery tickets, were taken during a burglary in the 4900 block of North Port Washington Road during the day Oct. 31. A back door was found open and lights turned on.
19Copper piping was reported taken from the 5700 block of North Sidney Place at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2. When the burglary happened was not known.
20A window was broken and the steering column peeled on a car in the 5700 block of North Green Bay Avenue during the day Nov 2.
21A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI, suspended registration and warned for speeding after he sped past a squad car in the 800 block of West Good Hope Road and then went south on I-43 at 2:12 a.m. Nov. 4. When stopped, he was asked if he’d been drinking. He said he had three drinks earlier. He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.15.
22A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his third OWI, open intoxicants and warned for non-registration and speeding more than 80 mph in a 55 mph zone in the 8900 block of I-43 at 8:13 p.m. Nov. 5. When told how fast he was driving, the man said he was surprised at that. He did admit having “one beer earlier.” The man, who failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.22, was taken for a blood draw.
23An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 0.5 grams of marijuana and a warrant after a report of illegal dumping in the 3500 block of North Cramer Street at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 27.
24Electronics valued at more than $6,000 were taken from the 4600 block of North Wilson Drive overnight Oct. 28 or 29.
The following entry and/or thefts from cars were reported Oct. 30 to Nov. 1: One car was rummaged through but nothing taken in the 4100 block of North Prospect Avenue; Two unlocked cars were entered and iPad Shuffles valued at $60 taken from one in the 4400 block of North Lake Drive; Items valued at $160 were taken in the 4300 block of North Prospect Avenue; A Taurus semi-automatic handgun valued at more than $200 was taken from an unlocked car at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave.; A key fob and other items valued at $590 were taken in the 3700 block of North Oakland Avenue; A $150 GPS and checkbook were taken from an unlocked car in the 3800 block of North Prospect Avenue.
25A 35-year-old Milwaukee man, an employee, was cited for disorderly conduct after “chasing customers” with a baseball bat and smashing a car window at BP Gas, 3624 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:23 p.m. Oct. 30.
26An 18-year-old Shorewood man was cited for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, LSD and Xanax after he was found in his car parked after hours in the 4200 block of North Estabrook Parkway at 11:40 p.m. Oct. 31. The man had 112.1 grams of marijuana, baggies and a scale.
27A 24-year-old Shorewood man was cited for shoplifting after taking a sandwich and a bottle of beer at Sendik’s, 4027 N. Oakland Ave., at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 1.
28A 26-year-old Shorewood man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call of a man and woman arguing and the sound of breaking glass in a residence in the 1800 block of East Jarvis Street at 4:25 p.m. Nov. 1. Police entered the residence and saw two pipes and a grinder, all with marijuana residue, sitting on a table.
29A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after he was stopped for speeding in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2 a.m. Nov. 2. His BAC was 0.10.
30A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI-drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, a grinder with residue, after he was stopped for driving the wrong way in the 5000 block of North Palisades Road at 11:31 p.m. Oct. 31. A drug recognition expert was called to the scene and the man taken for a blood draw.
31A resident reported seeing two males trying to open car doors and hearing glass break in the alley behind the 500 block of East Henry Clay Street at 12:28 a.m. Nov. 2. The men sped away in a white SUV. A short time later, a car window was found broken in the alley behind the 5200 block of North Diversey Boulevard. A brick was found in the car.
32Police were called by an employer when one of his employees, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man who had been missing for four hours, returned to work and had been drinking in the 1100 block of East Henry Clay Street. The man had a preliminary BAC of 0.135 and admitted drinking a pint of vodka on his break. He was told not to drive and take the bus home. Less than an hour later, the man was seen driving and when stopped, was cited for his second OWI, driving with a revoked license and open intoxicants in the 1000 block of East Fairmount Avenue at 12:04 a.m. Nov. 3. His BAC was 0.12.
33A resident reported her car had been “keyed” in the 4800 block of North Anita Avenue between 1:16 and 1:41 p.m. Nov. 3.
A resident reported his check card number had been fraudulently used to buy gift cards at a West Milwaukee Walmart on Nov. 4.
34A FedEx package delivered Oct. 20 was reported taken from the 4800 block of North Larkin Street on Nov. 4.
35An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI-drugs in the 4800 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 2:36 a.m. Nov. 5. The man was taken for a blood draw.
