1A man was cited for OWI and driving with a suspended license after making an illegal U-turn at North Port Washington and West Brown Deer roads at 7:06 p.m. Oct. 17. The man, at first, denied drinking but then said he had one drink at 3 p.m. He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.20.


2A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for theft of more than 20 pieces of children’s clothing valued at $155 at Burlington, 9040 N. Green Bay Road, at 2:45 p.m. Oct. 12.

3The following incidents were reported at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for trespassing about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8 after he was warned at 4:30 p.m. not to return or he would be cited. He returned and was cited; An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman took $56 of health and beauty products Oct. 14: A worker reported the theft of an electronic inventory device valued at $1,100 after leaving it in the store Oct. 17; Two Milwaukee women, 23 and 28, took children’s clothing and when stopped said the clothing was for a funeral Oct. 19; A 25-year-old Menomonee Falls man hid $150 of clothing “down his pants” Oct. 19.

4A 2000 Dodge Intrepid taken from the 6300 block of West Brown Deer Road about 3 p.m. Oct. 6 was recovered in the 3300 block of West Clybourn Street, Milwaukee, at 7:41 p.m. Oct. 13.

5Windows of four vehicles were damaged after being shot with a BB gun, three in the 6600 block of West Glenbrook Road about 11 p.m. Oct. 13 and one in the 6500 block of West Carol Ann Drive about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 14.

6A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 3.31 grams of marijuana after the car he was in was stopped in the 6200 block of West Brown Deer Road at 12:23 a.m. Oct. 15.

7A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for resisting arrest after he was found with a baggie of Ecstasy and fled from police in the 4200 block of West Hawthorne Trace Road at 4:14 a.m. Oct. 15.

8A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol and underage drinking in the 4400 block of West Brown Deer Road at 12:44 a.m. Oct. 16.

A 41-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for strangulation, disorderly conduct and battery, all domestic violence related, after he choked his wife and punched his step-son at 1:45 a.m. Oct. 16.

9The theft of a 72-piece order of fried chicken was reported at Pick ’n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:25 p.m. Oct. 16. A woman had ordered the chicken and then walked out without paying.

10A 17-year-old Greendale girl was cited for battery and disorderly conduct after fighting with another girl at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 11:42 a.m. Oct. 17.

11A car’s locking cylinder was damaged in an underground garage in the 4300 block of West Bradley Road before 1 p.m. Oct. 17.

12Nine people were seen grabbing arm loads of items valued at more than $2,000 and fleeing TJ Maxx, 9020 N. Green Bay Road, at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 17.

13Two males were seen entering a car but nothing taken in the 4400 block of West Deer Run Drive at 1:12 p.m. Oct. 18.

14Two females were seen taking four comforters valued at $400 and running out of Tuesday Morning, 6590 W. Brown Deer Road, at 5 p.m. Oct. 18.

15Tenants, who had moved out of their apartment, were reported to have taken all of the appliances from that apartment in the 4400 block of Village Lane on Oct. 18.

A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct and false imprisonment, both domestic violence related, and taken into custody for violation of his parole after a witness reported the incident at 4:45 a.m. Oct. 19.


16A tire on a company work truck was reported “slashed” in the 7000 block of North Crossway Road within 15 minutes of 8:45 a.m. Oct. 11. The driver parked the truck and went into the back yard to check his crew when the tire was slashed.

17Four Quiet Comfort 35 Wire Headphones valued at $1,400 were taken from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, on Oct. 10 and reported Oct. 11. Surveillance video was viewed after an employee found “destroyed security locks” in the store. It showed two males hiding the headphones in their sweatshirts.

18A 42-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI, failure to have insurance, open intoxicants and failure to keep her car under control after a resident heard a loud crash near the 700 block of East Willow Road at 3:19 a.m. Oct. 16. More than 70 feet of tire tracks with no skid marks showed the car had left the roadway, hit a tree and a marker pole and then a concrete wall of a culvert. The woman was not injured but medical assistance was given. An open bottle of vodka was found behind the driver’s seat but the woman said she hadn’t been drinking out of it “tonight.” She did admit drinking a beer and “a couple of mixed drinks” at a Milwaukee bar. Her BAC was 0.08.


19Windows on two cars were broken and entry gained, one in the 300 block of West River Woods Parkway and one in the 6400 block of North Range Line Road, on Oct. 12 or 13. One car also had $250 damage to the steering column and a gas card taken from another was cancelled.

20A 32-year-old Glendale woman was cited and charged Oct. 13 on four counts of theft after asking residents for “donations” for a fundraiser at her daughter’s school and all who donated would receive Colectivo coffee July 24. The woman asked for cash but said she would accept checks made out to her. About a month later, residents in the Crestwood Subdivision, including the 5600 block of North Bethmaur Lane, the 5700 blocks of North Crestwood Boulevard and North Sidney Place and the 5900 block of North Ames Terrace, notified police when no coffee was received.

21A 17-year-old Fox Point boy was cited for disorderly conduct after kicking a fence and then using profane language in a classroom at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 10 a.m. Oct. 13.

22Glendale police aided Milwaukee police in the capture of two 18-year-old men and a 17- year-old boy of Milwaukee after their car ran a red light and hit two cars in the 6500 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 13. A firearm was recovered.

23A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting after taking clothing and cologne valued at more than $270 at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 13.

24A student was suspended after he was found with a vaporizer and two pocket knives, items banned from school property, at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, about 9 a.m. Oct. 14.

25Two Milwaukee men, 18 and 26, were cited for possession of 0.98 grams of marijuana after they were stopped for suspended registration in the 6100 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 15. One man admitted he was “high and smoked marijuana regularly” but denied the marijuana was his.

26A 26-year-old Sheboygan man was cited for possession of 3.75 grams of marijuana after he was stopped for a false license plate in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 15. When police asked for proof of the car’s registration, the passenger opened up the glove compartment, revealing a baggie of marijuana.

27A robbery was reported at McDonald’s, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:38 a.m. Oct. 15. A male with a black hoodie covering his face, followed an employee into the restaurant. That male, who had a tear drop tattoo under one eye, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount.

28Two women, 19 and 22, and two men, 22 and 23, of Milwaukee were turned over to Milwaukee police after they were identified as being in a car taken in a Milwaukee strong-arm robbery at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 15.

29The following people were cited for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 20-year-old Cudahy woman filled a cart with 52 items valued at more than $990 saying she’d heard she could sell the stolen items on Facebook at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15; A 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man of Milwaukee filled a cart with women’s fitness items valued at $1,226 at 3:31 p.m. Oct. 15.

30An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting after taking items valued at $125 at Name of the Game, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15.

31Four women were cited for escort without a license/prostitution after police set up “dates” on a website used by prostitutes in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road the evening of Oct. 15.

32A male was cited for shoplifting 13 bags of candy valued at $85 at Pick ’n Safe, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16. The male ran from the store but was found in an alley a few blocks away.


No reportable incidents.


33A 15-year-old Shorewood boy was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a Schedule IV Narcotic without a prescription at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at 11:41 a.m. Oct. 10.

34The following shoplifting incidents were reported at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave.: Three males were seen taking Red Bull and Monster Energy drinks valued at $350 and fleeing at 4:42 p.m. Oct. 11; A person was seen taking $100 of baby formula and fleeing Oct. 12; A 51-year-old Milwaukee woman, who also had a warrant, took a $30 bottle of vodka Oct. 14.

35A male was seen taking three hair cut kits valued at $95 and fleeing Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:43 a.m. Oct. 12.

36A 42-year-old Shorewood woman was cited for habitual intoxication after a report of a disorderly person in the 4200 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:27 a.m. Oct. 13. The woman, who had a preliminary BAC of 0.322, was given medical assistance.

37Car windows were broken and some cars entered but nothing reported taken in the following blocks: 1800 East Capitol Drive Oct. 13, 2200 East Beverly Road, 3900 and 4000 North Stowell Avenue, 4100 North Downer Avenue, 2400, 2500 and 2700 East Shorewood Boulevard Oct. 15 or 16.

38A car left running while the driver delivered food was taken from the 3900 block of North Maryland Avenue about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

39A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after taking two bags of dog food valued at $15 and riding off on his bike from Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:40 p.m. Oct. 16. He was located and cited.

40Two juveniles reported a suspicious man in the play area of Lake Bluff School, 1600 E. Lake Bluff Boulevard, about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19.

A resident reported a threatening message a man left on an answering machine saying he would be coming to her home with a uniformed officer and an eviction notice at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 19. No one arrived at the home that the resident has owned for many years.


41Two shoplifting incidents were reported at CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road: A male took two bottles of liquor at 9:13 a.m. Oct 17, and a male and female in their 50s took four bottles of Absolut vodka at 3:44 p.m. Oct. 19. Total loss was more than $160.

42Forced entry through a basement window was reported in the 5500 block of North Lake Drive Oct. 17. There was no evidence of anything taken and nothing appeared disturbed.

43An unlocked $700 Trek FX bicycle with lights and a lock valued at $80 was taken from the bike rack on the west side of Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., between 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17.

44A 26-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after she was stopped because the car’s owner had an expired instructional permit in the 100 block of East Chateau Place at 3:26 a.m. Oct. 19.

45A car was entered and rummaged through and a rear window screen was cut but entry not gained in the 4700 block of North Newhall Street, the car Oct. 12 or 13, and the screen Oct. 16 or 17. Police were notified Oct. 19.

46Two laptop computers, valued at $800, were taken during a burglary in the 6100 block of North Shoreland Avenue during the day Oct. 19. The burglary might have happened about 10:30 a.m., when a neighbor found the owner’s dog outside and a back door open.

47A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 0.2 grams of marijuana, driving with a controlled substance and a revoked license, OWI related, after he was stopped for a defective head light in the 300 block of East Hampton Road at 12:06 a.m. Oct. 20. He was taken for a blood draw.

48Three 15-year-old Milwaukee boys were cited for prowling and referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for driving a stolen car and obstruction/resisting after they were seen driving that car stolen out of Milwaukee in the 1300 block of East Courtland Place at 1:48 a.m. Oct. 22. The boys abandoned the car about 10 minutes later. It was found with the motor running in the 4700 block of North Newhall Street. Police established a perimeter and found the boys in a backyard in the 4600 block of North Ardmore Avenue.

49Residents reported that their dog, a small Chihuahua, was killed by two “large coyotes” in the 4700 block of West Woodruff Avenue about 8:45 p.m. Oct. 22. The dog had been let out in the front yard when the attack happened.
