1A woman was cited for OWI and driving the wrong way on a divided highway on North Port Washington at West Brown Deer roads at 4:15 a.m. Oct. 12. The woman, who said she was lost and admitted drinking, also said she on medication. Her preliminary BAC was 0.081.

2A woman was cited for OWI on Fairy Chasm at North Broadmoor roads at 12:37 a.m. Oct. 15. The car had damage to the front end and the woman said she might have hit a parked car. She also said she had been drinking and was taken for a blood draw.


3An 18-year-old Milwaukee man, an employee, was cited for criminal damage to property after he damaged a cash register at Applebee’s, 9080 N. Green Bay Road, at 3 p.m. Oct. 4.

4An unlocked car was entered but nothing taken in the 7700 block of North 50th Street Oct. 4 or 5.

5A 15-year-old Brown Deer girl was cited for theft after taking another student’s cell phone from a locker at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 6.

6Thefts or attempted thefts of five cars were reported in the 4000, 4900, 6000 and 6300 blocks of West Brown Deer Road during the day and early evening of Oct. 6.

7The following people were cited at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A 49-year-old Milwaukee woman took shoes and laundry detergent valued at $50 and an 18-year-old Glendale woman took $35 of makeup Oct. 6; A 49-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct after being disorderly when unable to make a return because she had no receipt Oct. 7; Two Milwaukee women, 21 and 26, hid baby clothing and supplies in their purses as they checked out other items in the self-checkout lane Oct. 7; Two Milwaukee girls, 16 and 17, took swimwear valued at $32 Oct. 8. The 17-year-old was also cited for possession of an electric weapon/carrying a concealed weapon – a stun gun.

8A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after loading a cart with hygiene products valued at $215 and attempting to flee Family Dollar, 6554 W. Brown Deer Road, at 11:50 a.m. Oct. 7.

9Two 17-year-old Brown Deer boys were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting at Brown Deer Middle High School, 8060 N. 60th St., during the day Oct. 7.

10A 2012 Hyundai was taken from a parking lot in the 4300 block of West Bradley Road between 2:45 and 3:15 p.m. Oct. 7. The owner reported she had dropped her keys in the lobby of an apartment building.

11Gun shots were reported in the 5100 block of West Dean Road about 8:20 p.m. Oct. 7. A stop sign in that area was found with a bullet hole with shell casings found in the road. Another bullet hole was found in a window in the 8400 block of North 51st Street.

12A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct and a warrant after the car she was in was in a minor accident in the 6300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1 p.m. Oct. 8. The woman yelled and threatened the driver of the other car.

13Three juveniles reported being chased by “several clowns” in the 8900 block of North Park Plaza Court on Oct. 8 or 9. The clowns were reported driving in an orange SUV.

14A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was mailed a citation for fleeing/eluding police after  police attempted to stop her for speeding and she sped away in the 7700 block of North Sherman Boulevard on Oct. 11. Police traced the license plate and the car came back as a Hertz rental and the woman was identified and the citation mailed.


15Charges of forgery have been requested for a 46-year-old Milwaukee man after he attempted to cash a forged business check of more than $2,300 at BMO Harris Bank, 8740 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 27. The man admitted endorsing the check, saying he got it from a man who hired him as a day laborer. That man then drove the suspect to the bank to cash the check and the suspect was to keep his pay and give the rest to the man who hired him. The suspect was being held on a parole violation.

16An unknown male, about 25, was seen hiding four Xbox One games valued at $240 in his coat and walking out of Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 10:11 a.m. Oct. 3. The man left in a grey Honda with plates that came back as stolen out of Milwaukee.

A resident reported that his personal identification had been used to obtain credit cards after he was alerted by his bank that a card had been opened in his name Oct. 6. The man had been previously alerted by his employer that personal information had been stolen from the company. Also, he was told by his mail carrier that a “mail forwarding” request in his name had been requested.

17A $600 HP laptop and cable testers valued at $200 were taken from a locked car in the 8200 block of North Gray Log Lane sometime Sept. 30 to Oct. 10. There was no damage to the car but the owner believed it had been locked.

18Damage to the steering column of an unlocked 2005 Dodge Caravan, parked in a driveway, was reported in the 7300 block of North Port Washington Road on Oct. 10. The damage, of about $500, would have occurred sometime 7:30 to 10:15 p.m. The car, that had been unlocked, was found with headlights and radio on.


19A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after throwing food at an employee, hitting him, and then refusing to pay her $55 bill at Applebee’s, 5664 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:49 p.m. Oct. 3.

20A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting, possession of a tool to remove sensors and a booster bag after taking Badger sweatshirts and pants valued at more than $100 at Name of the Game, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:10 p.m. Oct. 4. The woman ran from the store but was stopped.

21Two Milwaukee men were cited in separate incidents for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 59-year-old man, also cited for resisting arrest, took streaming sticks valued at $100 and ran from the store at 6:40 p.m. Oct. 4; A 20-year-old man took earrings valued at $25 at 4 p.m. Oct. 5.

22About 70 blank checks were taken from a business in the 5200 block of North Ironwood Road sometime Sept. 25 to Oct. 5. The checks were cancelled and there was no loss.

23Various lawn tools valued at more than $3,200 were reported taken from an unlocked garage in the 5700 block of North Braeburn Lane on Oct. 5.

24A 24-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for theft of more than $550 from his employer, BP Gas, 7010 N. Port Washington Road, on Oct. 7. The man allegedly shorted deposits and made false returns of cigarettes; this was caught on video.

25An attempted theft of a 2010 Toyota Corolla was caught on video at Andrew Toyota, 1620 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 8. A male was seen breaking a window, prying open a door lock and opening the hood, causing about $1,500 damage.

26A 3-by-3-foot hole was found cut in the roof of Old National Bank, 5522 N. Port Washington Road, about 12:40 p.m. Oct. 11. Cleaning employees found tiles on the floor and then found the hole and called police. Video showed a male wearing construction-like clothing, including a neon green vest, carrying a ladder outside the bank about 2:15 p.m. Oct. 9. The case is under investigation.

27A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting four packs of Red Bull valued at $32 at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 10.

28A 2012 Dodge Avenger was taken from the 1700 block of West Florist Avenue between 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 11.

29A male was seen taking two packages of Red Bull valued at $17 and fleeing Mobil Gas, 1513 E. Capitol Drive, at 2:51 p.m. Oct. 6.

30A 27–year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after he was stopped for speeding in the 1100 block of East Capitol Drive at 1:07 a.m. Oct. 8.

31A screen was found pushed in on a rear window in the 4400 block of North Woodburn Street at 1 a.m. Oct. 9.

32A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and fleeing police after he was stopped for displaying a false registration sticker in the 700 block of East Capitol Drive at 1:36 a.m. Oct. 9. His BAC was 0.12. A 22-year-old Milwaukee man, who was driving another car following his friend, was cited for obstruction after he “refused to comply with the officer’s orders” during the stop.

33A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI at North Lake Drive and East Jarvis Street at 1:56 a.m. Oct. 9. He was taken for a blood draw.

34A residence was entered through an unlocked rear door but nothing taken in the 4500 block of North Wildwood Avenue before 5:12 a.m. Oct. 9. In the same block, two screens were found cut but entry not gained at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 9.

35A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and unreasonable and imprudent speed after hitting a parked car in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:35 a.m. Oct. 10.

36Witnesses reported someone dressed as a clown was driving around yelling out the window at North Oakland and East Edgewood avenues about 10:50 a.m. Oct. 10.

37A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting and trespassing after taking headphones valued at $40 at Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:31 p.m. Oct. 11.


38A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after he was seen riding a bike without lights in the 5200 block of North Diversey Boulevard at 1:41 a.m. Oct. 7. He had a pill bottle with a small amount of marijuana in his backpack.

39A male was seen loading eight boxes of energy drinks, valued at $72, in a cart and fleeing CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 5:50 p.m. Oct. 7. He got into a car driven by a female.

40A 22-year-old Wauwatosa man was cited for OWI-drugs and recklessly endangering safety while armed and intoxicated in the 300 block of East Hampton Road at 12:28 a.m. Oct. 9. No information was available on what firearm he had. He was taken for a blood draw.

41A 21-year-old Elm Grove man was cited for disorderly conduct and prowling/loitering after he was reported “harassing” females in the 4900 block of North Shoreland Avenue at 6:40 a.m. Oct. 9. The man ran from police was stopped.

42A 33-year-old Glendale man was cited for hit and run, no proof of insurance and suspended registration after he smashed into two trees and then almost hit a pedestrian in the 5100 block of North Lydell Avenue at 3:10 p.m. Oct. 9. Later, a resident reported finding drug paraphernalia in the area.

43A $500 Specialized mountain bike was taken from the 1200 block of East Fairmount Avenue between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 13.

44A 23-year-old Wauwatosa man was cited for his second OWI and possession of amphetamine after he was stopped for speeding in the 5400 block of North Lake Drive at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 14. His BAC was 0.15.

45Two girls reported they were “being watched” by someone in a car as they walked home from high school at East Henry Clay Street and North Marlborough Drive, one Oct. 13 and one Oct. 14.

46An attempted robbery was reported at CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, about 9:15 p.m. Oct. 14. A male walked up to an employee saying, “This is a robbery. Give me all the cash.” She called her manager and the male fled with bottles of liquor hidden in his jacket.

47Two cars were entered and cash taken in the parking structure in the 300 and 400 blocks of East Beaumont Avenue between 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Oct. 14. One resident reported more than $400 taken and the other about $5.

48A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his third OWI, driving after revocation, obstruction and two warrants in the 1300 block of East Hampton Road at 10:09 p.m. Oct. 14. A warrant was issued and the man taken for a blood draw.
