BROWN DEER

1An iPhone 6 Plus valued at $350 was taken from an employee’s unlocked locker at Courtyard by Marriott, 5200 W. Brown Deer Road, before 11 a.m. Sept. 8.

2Power tools valued at $4,050, including drill bits and accessories, were taken from a vehicle while the owner was working inside Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, at noon Sept. 9. A male and female driving a white four-door Buick with no plate were reported in the area.

3A male was seen taking $146 of soap and fleeing Walgreens, 6020 W. Bender Road, at 11 a.m. Sept. 10. He drove off in a blue Saturn with stolen plates.

4Two 14-year-old Milwaukee boys were cited for shoplifting after taking a purse and shirts valued at $104 at TJ Maxx, 9020 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:48 p.m. Sept. 10.

A 25-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after punching and pushing a female at 11:18 p.m. Sept. 11.

5The following incidents by Milwaukee residents were reported at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road: A 35-year-old woman was cited after switching tags on items at 1 p.m. Sept. 8; Three women 20, 21 and 33, were cited for disorderly conduct and one also on a warrant after fighting in the store at 3 p.m. Sept. 9. The women, who knew each other, said they didn’t like each other and after “exchanging words” began fighting; A 54-year-old man was cited for shoplifting $59 of clothing and possession of several rocks of crack cocaine, obstruction, trespassing and violation of parole at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 11; A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman took DVDs and gaming controllers valued at $162 at 3:37 p.m. Sept. 12.

A resident reported being the victim of a scam after a phone call from the “IRS” saying he/she owed $100 and if not paid an arrest warrant would be issued Sept. 12. The resident purchased an iTunes card and gave the information to the scammer.

6Residents reported to police that a local news reporter was “harassing” them during the homicide investigation at 5005 W. Bradley Road, at 12:45 p.m. Sept. 13. The reporter agreed to leave the scene.

FOX POINT

7Two Milwaukee men, 26 and 35, were each cited on two counts of shoplifting more than $200 of liquor in separate incidents at CVS Pharmacy, 8661 N. Port Washington Road, one Aug. 29 where they were able to flee and again about 8:15 p.m. Sept. 4 when stopped. In addition, the 35-year-old was also cited for shoplifting liquor at that CVS on July 15 and both men were cited by Whitefish Bay police for shoplifting liquor at the CVS Pharmacy there about 8 p.m. Sept. 4. The 26-year-old also had a warrant.

8A 58-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for his second OWI in the 6900 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 7:17 p.m. Sept. 7. A witness called police after she followed the man as he drove away from a Glendale store to report his erratic driving and also reported that he had trouble keeping his pants up in that store. The man, who admitted having two drinks, had a BAC of 0.21 and was taken for a blood draw.

A resident reported fraudulent use of her credit cards after they were used to purchase children’s shoes valued at over $280 at on-line sites and delivered to a Milwaukee address Sept. 4 and 7. The resident had left those cards and a cell phone in an Uber car Sept. 3. After realizing she’d left them, she notified the Uber driver, who returned them to her. When she found out that at least one card had been used, she cancelled that card and notified police. They investigated and reported that the fraudulently purchased items had been shipped to the Uber driver’s address and the case is now “pending review by the DA” for a warrant for that Uber driver, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman, on allegations of illegal use of a credit card.

GLENDALE 

9A $20 wallet and contents, including an ID and credit cards, were taken from an unlocked car in an open garage in the 2200 block of West Rochelle Avenue between 2 and 3 p.m. Sept. 6.

10A $30 wallet and contents, including $150, credit cards and a social security card, were taken from an unlocked car in the 2100 block of West Brantwood Avenue after 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and reported Sept. 8. The wallet was recovered but not the contents.

11A Samsung Note 7 valued at $450 was taken from a front porch in the 5200 block of North Mohawk Avenue between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Sept. 7 and reported Sept. 8. The owner was returning the item via Fed Ex, but when Fed Ex arrived, the package was gone.

12A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana after parking in a handicapped spot at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 8. A pill bottle with 2.92 grams of marijuana was in the car. The man admitted he “just purchased” the drugs for $30. Also in the car were three children younger than 5 years old but no child seats.

13The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 29-year-old man hid a pair of jeans and a T-shirt valued at $38 under his own clothing and left at 3:11 p.m. Sept. 9. He was found inside a food store now wearing the stolen items, saying he threw away his old clothes. A 23-year-old woman was mailed a citation after she took sweat pants valued at $29 and fled in a car traced to the 1800 block of West Fairmount Avenue Sept. 10; A 36-year-old man took socks valued at $20 after attempting to return stolen items Sept. 10.

14Three women were seen taking clothing items valued at $500 at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, about 7:45 p.m. Sept. 8. They fled the store and drove off in a maroon Chrysler Sebring without plates.

15Two 22-year-old Milwaukee men were arrested on warrants at Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, about 3 a.m. Sept. 9. Police went to their room, knocked on the door and heard sounds of metal scrapping inside. When the door opened, only one man was there and a window screen had been removed. The other man had jumped out that second-story window and was found unharmed in the east parking lot. That man was also wanted for violation of his parole.

16Two Milwaukee girls, 16 and 17, were cited for shoplifting at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 10. The girls took three pairs of jeans valued at $140 and when stopped, one said she “wanted” the jeans; just didn’t want to pay for them. The other said, “You don’t see me take nothin’.” The jeans were recovered.

RIVER HILLS

17A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI-drug related, possession of synthetic marijuana, fleeing/eluding an officer, unsafe lane deviation, no proof of insurance, driving with a suspended license, unreasonable and imprudent speed and unlawful u-turn after he was seen making an illegal U-turn and driving erratically at West Brown Deer and North Range Line roads at 11:47 p.m. Sept. 16. The man continued to drive and, after crashing into a tree, he attempted to run from police but was caught. He then said his “brain hurt” and rescue was called and the man taken to a hospital. After being medically cleared, he was taken into custody.

SHOREWOOD         

18An armed robbery was reported in the alley behind the 4400 block of North Frederick Avenue about 3:15 p.m. Sept. 10. The victim was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property, taking a wallet and cell phone. He then drove away in the victim’s car.

19A car window was broken causing $250 damage in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue before 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10.

20A $1,000 Macbook and a $150 iPhone 5S were reported taken from an apartment in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue at 9:50 a.m. Sept. 11. When the theft occurred was not yet available.

21Camping equipment, value not available, was reported taken from the Boy Scout Lodge, 3565 N. Morris Blvd., at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11. There was no sign of forced entry.

22A $25 purse was taken when left unattended in a women’s restroom at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., before 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

23A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $150 was taken from an unlocked car in the 4000 block of North Downer Avenue overnight Sept. 11 and 12.

WHITEFISH BAY

Two residents reported attempted fraud: one received a Chase Sapphire Credit Card he had not applied for Sept. 12 and one received a driver’s license using his name and address that he also had not applied for Sept. 14.

24A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for prowling after getting out of his car that he backed into a driveway in the 5100 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 9:35 a.m. Sept. 15. He was stopped a few blocks away where he then admitted attempting to take a lawn mower from the 4900 block of North Lake Drive about noon Aug. 23.

25A male walked up a driveway and took a $50 bike from the 4700 block of North Ardmore Avenue about 4 p.m. Sept. 17. The man fled and the bike was recovered near the 4700 block of North Marlborough Drive.

26A 2015 Specialized multi-speed bicycle valued at $500 was taken from a front yard in the 800 block of East Hampton Road between 4 and 4:45 p.m. Sept. 17.

27A 53-year-old Fox Point woman was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test at North Lake Drive and East Glendale Avenue at 12:11 a.m. Sept. 18. The rear of the woman’s car was badly damaged and the rear bumper was being dragged. A short time before, the woman had hit a home, causing the damage in the 7900 block of North Regent Road, Fox Point, and was later cited by Fox Point police.

28Three pipes were taken from the front parkway of a construction site in the 4700 block of North Elkhart Avenue before 2 p.m. Sept. 18. The value was not listed.
