1Surveillance video showed a male breaking a bench by slamming it against a pole at Brown Deer Elementary School, 5757 W. Dean Road, at 5 p.m. Aug. 20 and reported Aug. 25.

2An iPad Mini valued at $330 was taken from an unlocked car parked on the street at North 51st Street and West Wabash Avenue before 2 p.m. Aug. 25.

3Two cars were entered and a purse taken from one and a laptop computer along with files from the other in the 9400 block of West Elm Court sometime Aug. 25.

4A 30-year-old Brown Deer woman was cited for shoplifting after hiding jewelry and clothing, value not available, in her purse and attempting to flee Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, at 10:51 p.m. Aug. 25.

5Two Milwaukee women, 28 and 35, were cited for shoplifting in separate incidents at TJ Maxx, 9020 N. Green Bay Road. The 28-year-old hid more than $155 of clothing in her purse at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 25 and the 35-year-old took clothing valued at over $42 Aug. 28.

6A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after he threatened other passengers saying he would cut them with a knife on a Milwaukee County bus at North Green Bay Road and West Cherrywood Lane at 8:41 p.m. Aug. 27.

7A 33-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for OWI after he hit a stop sign in the 8700 block of North 56th Street at 3:27 a.m. Aug. 28.

8An attempted burglary was reported after a window air conditioner was found “pushed out” but entry not gained in the 8200 block of North 55th Street at 3:36 p.m. Aug. 29.

9A 24-year-old Milwaukee man, an employee, was cited for forgery after a report he allowed a “friend to pass fake $100 bills” at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, on Aug. 29.

10The theft of a $100 DVD player and a $380 TV was caught on video at hhgregg, 9140 N. Green Bay Road, Aug. 27 and reported Aug. 30.


11A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody Aug. 30 for shoplifting and four warrants, including a parole violation, at Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, that occurred about 10 a.m. Aug. 19. At that time, the man walked out of the store with four Mega Boom Bluetooth speakers valued at $1,056 and drove off in a car driven by a Milwaukee woman. That car was traced, the woman contacted and the man identified. He was taken into custody when he reported to his parole agent.

12A 20-year-old Fox Point man was cited for possession of marijuana after he was seen skateboarding in the 200 block of West Willow Road at 1:31 a.m. Aug. 28. There was an odor of marijuana on his clothing and a silicone canister was found in his pocket holding hash/honey oil. He said he paid $200 for the oil and had smoked it out of a vaporizing pen. The canister and oil weighed 159 grams.


13An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for simple assault and a warrant after hitting a female during a “family event” in the 7000 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 21.

14The following Milwaukee people were cited for shoplifting at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive: A 40-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man took fitness tights valued at $37 Aug. 20; A 31-year-old woman took shoes and shirts valued at $135 hiding the shirts in her underwear at 7 p.m. Aug. 23; Two women, 26 and 28, took more than a dozen items valued at $316 Aug. 27; Two girls, 16 and 17, put socks, shirts and sweats valued at more than $140 into their purses after removing the sensors Aug. 28. When stopped, one girl said “everyone in school steals clothes” so she did, too; A 14-year-old boy took a Bluetooth speaker valued at $22 Aug. 29.

15A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting 48 cans of Gerber Goodstart Baby Formula valued at $911 at Pick ‘n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 8:25 a.m. Aug. 22.

16Two Milwaukee women, 25 and 31, were cited for shoplifting clothing valued at $143 at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 23.

17A 49-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for shoplifting a $28 shirt and a warrant at Victoria’s Secret, 5695 N. Centerpark Way, at 4 p.m. Aug. 23.

18A 22-year-old Omaha woman was cited for possession of 0.14 grams of methamphetamine after a report of a possible drug overdose at a restaurant in the 5600 block of North Bayshore Drive at 6:20 p.m. Aug. 25. She was revived with Narcan and given medical treatment. The drugs were found in her purse.

19A BMW stolen out of Michigan was recovered in the 7000 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:10 a.m. Aug. 26. The owner had reported the car stolen after he “sold it” to someone who paid with fraudulent cashier’s checks. In the car was a Smith & Wesson handgun and marijuana.

20A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI after crashing into a light pole in the 5800 block of North Port Washington Road at 4:09 a.m. Aug. 27. The woman, who said she had one shot of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.13.

21Two cars were entered but nothing reported taken in the alley behind the 5600 block of North Bethmaur Lane, one Aug. 24 and one Aug. 26 or 27.

22A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing after he was seen with his pants down in the 5800 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:26 p.m. Aug. 28. When stopped, the man was pulling his pants back on, admitting he had just urinated.

23A Miller CST welder valued at $1,900 was taken from a work truck in the 5300 block of North Port Washington Road sometime Aug. 26 to 29.

24A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after taking clothing valued at $98 from Old Navy, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, at 11 a.m. Aug. 29.

25A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for shoplifting after filling a basket with items and walking out of Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., at 11:22 p.m. Aug. 20. As he left the store, the boy almost walked into a police officer, who stopped him.

26A car window was broken and the car rummaged through but nothing taken in the 4200 block of North Wilson Drive Aug. 23 or 24.

27A blue Razor Electric Scooter valued at $200 was reported taken from Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at 5:35 p.m. Aug. 25.

28A 50-year-old Cudahy man was cited for OWI after he was found passed out in his car in the 4000 block of North Lake Drive at 11:37 p.m. Aug. 25. His BAC was 0.14.

29A 33-year-old St. Francis man was cited for OWI and refusal to take a breath test after a report of him urinating next to his car and then driving off from the 1600 block of East Capitol Drive at 4:21 a.m. Aug. 26.

30Cocaine was found wrapped inside a $1 bill at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., about 8 p.m. Aug. 27. An employee found the bill and gave it to a Loss Prevention employee who called police.

31A 53-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance, using profane language at Shorewood Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Ave., at 8:18 a.m. Aug. 29.

32A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after taking 32 packages of candy valued at $159 at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave., at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 30. The same man was then recognized as the person who took 27 cans of baby formula valued at $169 Aug. 26 to 29.

33An Apple laptop computer, value not available, was taken from a porch in the 2000 block of East Jarvis Street on Aug. 27 or 28.


34An unsecured Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike valued at $800 was taken from an apartment garage in the 100 block of West Chateau Place sometime Aug. 28 to 30.

35A 32-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for strangulation/suffocation, and disorderly conduct, all domestic violence related, after the victim reported the man, her ex-boyfriend, attacked her including choking her and pulling her hair Aug. 29.

36Three men were cited for soliciting without a permit – selling magazines -- Aug. 29 and 30: One, a 25-year-old Illinois man was first warned he needed a permit in the 4600 block of North Murray Avenue, at 6:48 p.m. Aug. 29 and was then cited in the 500 block of East Carlisle Avenue at 6 p.m. Aug. 30. A 24-year-old Florida man and a 28-year-old New York man were cited after a report of them being “aggressive and rude” in the 4700 block of North Cramer Street at 7:12 p.m. Aug. 30. The New York man was also cited for possession of marijuana after 0.5 grams of the drug was found in his sock.

37A 29-year-old Brookfield man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a pipe with residue, and open intoxicants, a bottle of vodka, after his car was stopped for having stolen plates in the 4800 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:19 a.m. Aug. 30. The man sped away from police but was stopped driving south on I-43 when the drugs and alcohol were found. A follow up of the stolen plates showed they should have been cleared.

A resident reported that after an information leak where she worked, an attempt was made to use her identify to open a credit card but it was denied Aug. 30.

38Two bikes, value not listed, were taken from the rear of the 5200 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard sometime Aug. 24 to Aug. 31.

39A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for forgery/uttering after attempting to cash a fraudulent check at Equitable Bank, 705 E. Silver Spring Drive, at 3 p.m. Aug. 31.
