Summer Evening Concerts — Sean McGibany: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9
Sean McGibany is a singer/songwriter/storyteller, who combines colorful, everyman poetry with sing-along-able pop melodies and amusing background stories (along with some occasional fancy bluegrass pickin’ and classical guitar pieces). McGibany peddles a diverse assortment of cover songs and original tunes that speak to such topics as unrequited love, the struggles of finding a home, annoying roommates, and pheasants. Free with membership or admission.
Photo Club: 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10
Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in monthly hikes. SANC’s Cassie Rincon guides participants to locations that offer unique photographic opportunities. Everyone works together to further their art, share photography ideas and capture memories. SANC does not provide cameras. Participants 16 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Dottie Diggs returns from her 11th trip to Giverny, France, where she photographs the gardens of French impressionist painter Claude Monet.
