Ted Nugent and David Crosby's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame feud is already legendary

Forget North Korea's Kim Jong Un vs. President Donald Trump.

The ongoing feud that should make us all want to go out and build an underground bunker is between rockers Ted Nugent and David Crosby.

Their latest round is getting ugly.

The word bombs started after Yank Me, Crank Me singer Nugent suggested last week in a radio interview that the only reason he's not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is because of his ardent support of the Second Amendment and the NRA.

Crosby weighed in on Twitter Monday when a user asked, "Ted Nugent recently said political correctness is keeping him out of the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Do you agree?" 

Crosby knows the ultra-exclusive Hall of Fame. He's been inducted twice, with The Byrds and as part of Crosby, Stills & Nash. His curt response on Twitter to this question wasn't suitable for a family website.

But we can confirm that he said "No," called Nugent a bad name, and added that the singer "isn't good enough." 

When another Twitter user asked Crosby if Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever was good enough for Rock Hall inclusion, the response was publishable, but short.

"Nope," Crosby wrote.

Nugent, who has called for kinder, gentler political discourse, did not take the high road after this affront. He went straight to the heavy arsenal on Tuesday, unleashing a bucket of bile topped with fire and fury on Facebook.

"Everybody knows that David Crosby is an evil rotten soulless punk that has criminally poisoned his bloated carcass his entire vapid life," Nugent wrote. "I couldn't be more proud that such an uncaring dirtbag hates me while he competes with Michael Moore to see who can go the longest without hygiene. Zombieboy would hurt himself if he tried real rockNroll like mine. Lets all pray he can form a syllable before his borrowed liver fails."

There's no swearing here. So points to Nugent for that.

And Nugent ended the missive missile with a high note of sorts, in that he was smiling thinking of Crosby.

"I laugh at his pathetic slovenliness as I wrapup the greatest ultraFun tour of my life," he wrote.

Over to you, Crosby, for the next volley. 

The two sparred in April after Nugent visited the White House with fellow conservative stars Kid Rock and Sarah Palin, and posed for a grinning picture with President Trump.

That war of words went a few rounds before Crosby ended it with this tweet.
