During the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair, the traveling WonderWheel will offer 10-minute rides with potential visibility of 10 miles to people at the top of the ride.

Even a state fair that dates back to 1851 offers a few new tricks each year. In the case of this year's Wisconsin State Fair, they include the new Dog Trick Competition.

Dog owners previously submitted videos of their pet's best stunts. (Somewhere, David Letterman is smiling.) The top 10 tricks, as determined by fair officials, will be performed at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 13 in the fair's K-9 Sports Arena with cash prizes at stake.

The tallest new attraction at this year's fair is the WonderWheel, a traveling Ferris wheel that stands 15 stories high, with potential visibility of 10 miles or more at the top. Passengers ride in fully enclosed gondolas, illuminated by 528,000 LED lights. From beginning to end, rides take about 10 minutes and cost $5.
