4. Aiden (10) and his little sister, Jubilee (7), sit on what's left of their bunk beds in a home that was new to them just months ago. When talking about the kids and the impact of this event, Mrs Sigue, or "Mimi" told me, "Today we're going to call it an early day so that Aiden can celebrate his birthday, because not even this flood should get in the way of that." 1. Ronnie Carroll, 70, a mission worker from Roberstdale, Alabama, stands in a children's bible study room in First Baptist Church. "It's heartbreaking....I believe a tornado is better because you just lose everything at once, and it's gone, it takes it with it. A flood, they can see it. They can touch it, and they want to fix it but can't." Baker, LA.

Hilton Pray, 82, holds on to one of his thousands of photographs that were damaged and now drying after an estimated 4 feet of water filled his home off of Greenwell Springs. He had an entire village he had built behind his home, starting in 1995, that featured a general store, a chapel, and countless antiques and mementos of his life as a collector, all lost. In his daughter's words, "He put mama in the highest lawnmower we had, and went back for her insulin", Denham Springs, LA
